1998 Papo Wolf

I found this wolf on eBay for very cheap from a seller in Poland who had it labeled as a 1998 Papo wolf. I wasn't so sure that's what it was at first because I had never seen it before but I bought it anyway.

I got it in the mail today and was surprised to find that it IS a Papo wolf from 1998 afterall! I was not aware that Papo made animal figures during the 90's? The earliest ones I am familiar with are the ones from 2003-2004. (Because I'm STILL looking for that 2004 Papo Grey wolf which continues to elude me!)

Anyway, here are a few photos of it. It's cartoony and a bit weird looking but at the same time...charming.

It's pouring down rain outside so I apologize for these bad photos! Once the weather clears up I'll do an outdoor walkaround of it. :)

The classic wolf was discontinued was discontinued in 2006, while the other two continued three or four more years.

Great find Fallon! This wolf is in very good condition, it's the first time I see one and it is surely in the right hands

From the year marked, I'd suspect also that it could be from a non animal series. However, I didn't know that figure at all. Not usual that in so many years in this hobby, a figure like this one, from a major brand, got anonymous for so many people. Fortunately here is Susanne to the rescue. Quite hard to understand why there are two kinds of wolves with that poor red lady.
