A nice wee bat! Anyone know what species of bat it us? I love the otter, and the rattlesnake will will most definitely find a welcome on my North American desert collection!

Papo calls it just a bat in their catalog.
Kikimalou narrowed it down to a long-eared bat.

im not sure of what im seeing in that bear;

the fur can be both just a hideous mess or a wonderful job on representing it all wet, like coming back from fishing in the river.

i like its face, those tiny eyes emphasize the width of the head and the snout looks so nice. i dont like the pose on the right foreleg.

I am glad it is something else then a grizzly. bounce

Thanks a lot Ralf! Some surprises here!
I wasn't expecting the pachy, leopard, buffalo, rhinos. On the owhter hand, anteaters and hippos with closed mouth are always poor sellers, unfortunately.
They could recycle these rhinos to make Javan rhinoceros. They will need a leopard, remastering the jaguar sculpt could be enough. I believe they will release a new generation for the African buffalo. Their beast is impressive but not very true to the real thing. Expect a new recycled ceratopsian next year and I hope the exclusion of the anteater open doors to a pangolin or aardvark. pig

Thanks Simone, the figures that were announced as retired seems to be confirmed. I am surprised with the retirement of the Indian rhinoceros and the hippo cow.

PostSubject: Can the Spinosaurus play guitar?   Mon Feb 19, 2018 4:32 am

Hi Everybody,

Hey, I just read the posts about the two-man band, and I found them extremely funny, since I'm a musician myself, and a pioneer in the field of electronic music. Anyway, the papo baby spinosaurus might want to join in on guitar, if he wanted to. I'm just kidding, of course, but still ... it's just so fun thinking of all this. It's almost as funny as the quote from the Voyage of the Dawn Treader when King Caspian has come to visit Governor Gumpus, and somebody says, "The Governor is in the king's chair. Remove him!" And then the Governor says: "What?" I myself have read that book, and that little part is so funny too. Well, I better stop writing for now, otherwise I might crack up at all this funny stuff. See you all later.

Anna

Amarga looks a little small and a little bland to me.
It's still a nice figure with lots of detail.
And it looks happy! That smile is for free!

Thank you Fallon for these nice photos of this wonderful Lynx :)
Love it !

And thank you very much Yurumi for these great and very informative photos
of all these great models. Applause

I`m totally in love with the Golden Lion Tamarin ... although the tale is very short, but still :)
I love also the others, they are great too.

The cheetah is very nice, but with this dynamic pose look`s a bit strange ...very unusual running pose for a cheetah...  although I understand the idea of the Papo sculptor to make a running cheetah, which is still stable on 3 legs.
But for me the bigger problem is the proportions of this Cheetah..
The body is very short ! ( or maybe it is because of the angle...?)
If the torso on this model is let`s say 3,50 cm , it has to be at least 1,50 cm longer .... which is a lot.
On real, let`s say that my torso is about 60 cm ... imagine how I will look with 17 cm shorter torso  Laughing
The torso of the cheetah, has to be the same size as the leg of the cheetah.
( this is what I see from the photos of real cheetahs )

I really like the conception of the Rattlesnake .
Please Yurumi, can you tell us, is it possible to put this snake in different poses ?

I think the cheetah is ok with the proportions, as it is slightly curved to the right (by looking in that direction). For me it is not a pose in the sprint, but rather a running down, like in the speed as Usain Bolt on his world record.
Maybe something is strong for a cheetah, but in nature, not every specimen will have the same proportions, it is like us humans. I do not really like the face to the pose.

Wonderful to arrive home and see that I already have one of these great Papo, namely the vari! monkey ... and back to forum, I see several great pictures of unmissable new Papo figures. The tamarin, bat, lynx are really great! I am curious to see how do that rattlesnake feels in real. Being bendable is a surprise, I don't know if it is a good or bad surprise. Even the otter is nice, I believe it is just an European river otter. Still a good surprise is the amargasaurus. It seemed such a boring figure but the video show something incredibly detailed, I think if it was not painted it would look even better. To be fair and despite all dino experts criticism, I think it is one of the richest baby dino figures. Very Happy

The bending of the rattlesnake goes quite well. But I don't know how durable it is. Maybe people, who have the Spider Monkey from Safari can bring some feedback...
