This set comes with a lot of questions. Laughing  Are they all larger-sized or is it just the rhino? Are they single-piece or assembled? Is the stork the same as the previous one or just similar? Well, I like the serval, too, and the lion looks like it has a nice face/mane.

Ahhhh...just ordered the serval from Brett! The other animals look good too but the serval stole my heart and will be the one joining my collection!

It's quite rare to see a serval in mass produced figure form to begin with...so I am super excited to see Kaiyodo has released one.

Now if only one of the major brands *cough* *cough* Papo *cough* would make a serval! (And a caracal...and the list goes on...)

Thanks. The zebra actually looks more interesting from this picture. The character on the background poster has a crocodile tail, so Kaiyodo still has more to keep them busy, yes? Wink

From the above photo the serval looks to be about the right size. The shoe bill stands much taller than the rhino and looks to be unusually large scalled than the others. I can only guess this by looking at the 'rhino on someones hand' photo

they all look good but I will definitely be going for Shoebill, Zebra and Serval and perhaps rhino which could be a younger rhino in comparison to existing brands?

I wish the japanese companies would produce some antelopes, that would be ecstatic!

And what is with the Japanese Obsession with Shoebills? Doki Doki, Eikoh, Kaiyodo, I mean the amount of replicas produced in honour of this bird is wonderfully astounding but unusual too....

Shoebills is one of my favourite birds and , until the Dokidoki one I was sad no companies produced one, soon I will have a legion on my shelves Laughing

I think Japanese companies produced more shebills now than ostriches. Wink

Here are much better images (Scroll down (Can someone post the actual lower image(s)?).). of the Wild Bush set.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Don't love the continued cheating (shoebill redux) by the company but otherwise looking forward to this one as I'm very happy to see the company addressing some iconic world species.

Also note the World Animal Journal moniker hopefully indicating that we'll be seeing more along this line of subjects.

There is, btw, a CQ dinosaur skeleton set releasing in March.

Taking orders for both sets now.

If you web translate this japanese page it talks about a 30 piece set:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Could it be referring to a series of Wild Bush animals as mentioned by others here and that bit by bit we will have a lots of series totaling 30 pieces?

The sculptor is Matsumura who also sculpted that huge African elephant. Pretty exciting....

Very nice figures from Kaiyodo! I love the human lookalikes. I have to say the Shoebill male looks a little mean, but the Serval and Caiman ladies look spot on. It would be great to see this trend continued.

Several Kaiyodo figures have been delayed recently (last year's aquarium set of 6 (I literally only saw one of each figure listed over the past month.), last month's Wild Rush l (now due this month), and yes, the Sofubi crab). Will try to remember to update when it releases.

These are all great looking animals--esp the serval. But he looks as big as the Rhino, zebra and lion. Wonder what scale he is?

All Kaiyodo Gashapon figures--from microscopic to whales and dinos--are around the same size.  That's part of their appeal.

Take a look at this (scrappy) video of part of my collection...

The video is good--gives you perceptive. So the serval would be smaller than then main stream brands like schleich and CollectA rhinos, but most likely not that much smaller that it would fit into their scale.

I only collect Kaiyodo figures so I can't speak to other manufacturers' sizes/scales.  My guess is the serval is about 2 inches long.

Kaiyodo figures are rarely, if ever, to scale. I agree with Brett. I like that most all of them are about the same size (outside of special lines, of course, like Sofubi Toy Box or Mega Sofubi).

The Kaiyodo page has larger and more detailed photos of the Wild Rush 2 South America set releasing next month (unless it's a month late like the first set). It surpasses the first in all ways.

Can someone please post the images?

Thanks very much, BC.  If you scroll further down the page, there are bigger/better images of all 5 animals.

I agree with you 100%.  It's a great, long awaited line. The subject selections are very satisfying and their sculpts are beautiful, with this set, I think, surpassing the African one in the latter regard.

With the exception of the 2016 Favorite Expo dino pairs, I've also had more requests for this set than anything I've offered in the three years I've been selling.

Here are the individual pictures if they're of help. They really look nice!
