Wonder Festival 2022-2023 Shanghai

Wonder Festival 2022-2023 Shanghai (WF2022-2023 SH) is holding in Shanghai, China from October 2 to 3, 2023. This year my friends and I are still participating as dealer. I took some photos of the animal figures at the scene.

Absolutly a dreamland

Lots of stunning models, they are a joy to see! Are they just for show or can you also buy models at the exhibition?

I like the plesiosaur? eating the pink things -


and these ones have great detail and realism to them. Are they 3D printed or injection moulded??

I like the chamois - the snow falling bits are pretty impressive. Did you see how they were 'suspended'?

and George would be interested in seeing all these pheasant varieties, similar to his painting entries for our monthly painting figures.

Is that a hunting dog having a game of tug of war with a hyena??

Most of them are for sale, and some are for showcasing new models.

What we sell is a modified model, using Kaiyodo or Kitan Club figures as the main body, and creating some scenes, mainly using epoxy resin.



It's kueichousaurus hui, eating the pink fish.

There is a metal rod in chamois that can be inserted into the mountain.

Hahahaha, yes, that is a scene where hyenas and African wild dogs are vying for a piece of meat.

I was admiring those deep sea cubes! thinking how intricate and full of action they are. I noticed that there are lots of waves on the surface as well, from the movement of the animal, so that's good attention to detail.
Do you make these yourself?

Are the single goldfish in the bowls a good seller? Does it have a symbolic meaning, as just a single goldfish?
I know that 8 goldfish with one being black? is auspicious. For Cantonese anyway.

It was created by my friend himself, who has been DIY for 7 years. Initially, it was just his own interest, but after it was released, everyone liked it very much. So, he sold it on exhibitions and second-hand trading websites (similar to eBay). This time, the sales volume at the exhibition was good, selling about two-thirds.

Was there also simply PVC toy figures to find?
