COLLECTA 2018: WILD LIFE - Musk Ox Bull (88837) FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT

What a wonderful figurine and one more time I´ve to decide: CollectA or Safari
But as always, there are many points of view: the price, the height or the most beautiful figurine. In case of the last point, I think that CollectA won, even that I like the "moving" pose of the Safari ox.

People have often the perception that muxkoxen are huge like bisons but they're not.

That´s true. I was very surprised when I first saw a model of a musk ox in a national museum an later in a zoo. Their size reminds you, that those animals are still member of the sheep family and aren´t a bison or ox relative.

He is beautiful! I love his coloration and the detailing

Looks great! I like this one better than the Safari LTD. one personally, I wonder if Schleich will make a new one in the next year or so?

A gigantic beauty !!
Poor me ! How many money I shall spend nxt year...collecta models are really fantastic and even common animals like the zebra, hippo, white tailed deer and ringed tail lemur I shall buy again beacuse they are perfectly designed, real master pieces, the same about their dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals, about new species only Pere David's deer and african civet I love them , Collecta thanks again also this year you did not disappoint me and I hope many friends of this forum have got the same idea.

I thought a crowned crane would have been announced but unfortunately I was wrong...I hope for the next year and how many dreams again....Jentink's cephalophus,Zebra cephalophus, any bird or monkey ,you name it ,and my wildest dream..any barnd I hope you can hear me...a MOA or Aepyornys Maximus of Madagascar... why nobody has ever thought about producing these fascinating giants?

What a fabulous model! I was very happy when I saw Safari's announcement of their muskox, and I still love the pose of it, but I'm afraid that in terms of detail and paint it pales in comparison with CollectA's I seriously don't think their new wildlife models can be beaten. This is a must-have for me!
