I've got this good news from Collecta:

"The popular sized models continue with the Brontosaurus "thunder lizard": This was the sauropod dinosaur that everyone knew until it was declared to be just a species of Apatosaurus and the name was dropped. Recent research has now claimed that it was a separate genus from Apatosaurus and so the name has been resurrected. The animal was up to 22 metres (72 ft) in length. This is the first model of a Brontosaurus to have been made since its reinstatement.  The double row of dorsal scales on the tail offers a new interpretation for the placement of these. "

Learning about prehistoric animals with CollectA! Great! Very Happy I think the final result is quite impactant. The pose is great, the ondulating body, open mouth and whip tail. The double crest of rows gives also a special touch to it. I like the figure a lot and I am sure it will display well if big. Do you know the size or scale?

The size for this figure will be: 30,5 cm long and 10,5 cm tall.
According to Everything Dinosaur.

cheers cheers cheers
It looks great and it's good to see one from this brand (maybe their best sauropod yet). I love the Safari Apatosaurus but this spinier interpretation with an open mouth is a welcome alternative. The color and texture is more appealing than some of the other CollectAs as well.

It's a bit hard to imagine exactly how the size will feel in person based off the length. It would have been nice if this sculpture was as large as possible, but will be attractive at any size. Also hard to tell the neck shape from just one picture.

Thanks Simone and James for telling the size. Not a small figure but surely not a huge sauropod as probably it was desirable.

It's nice to see CollectA do both obscure species most have never heard of unless they are into dinosaurs like Mantellisaurus and Mapusaurus, and the most famous like Tyrannosaurus rex
and of course Brontosaurus excelsus,THE classic dinosaur, even when it was thought to be a species of Apatosaurus. Very Happy

i called the new collecta's iguanodon to be their best dinosaur model so far, but now this one looks even better to me.

looks like the eyes are just a black spot and teeth don't seem to be so detailed, but everything else looks trully majestic.
