It's not difficult to find cheap Starlux aurochs on french ebay with broken horns. Then, I restore horns with WePAM paste..

These  figurines are interesting because they show how that animal was yet not well known in the sixties  with their bison fur and round back!.. so I made some of them more accurate by changing colour and back line:

This is fantastic affraid

You are very talented, and now you are probably the only one in the world with a flock of Starlux real-aurochs cheers

I am also impressed by the number of "bisrochs" you have. And in many shades Very Happy
Mine has a broken horn, because he fell on the floor, and I have not found a glue that could repair it Sad

Thankyou very much for the pictures Very Happy

thanks to you both! Laughing

Susanne, for your horn, try WePAM past, no need any glue, you just model the point around the remaining horn with the still wet past, and when it's dry (after one hour), your horn will be stronger than the other one!..

well, I hope TheAnimalStudyGuy found some!.. Neutral

..but there is another way to get an auroch easily: just find a long-horn Schleich or Papo, change the shape of horns in boiling water, make higher its back line with WePAM, cut a little its dewlap which was few devopped on european auroch and repaint:

I think it is gential the way you restore your aurochs although those are not real resotrations once you are more faithful to the animal then to the figure. I hope you also collect these wonderful STarlux figures in their genuine shape, I have just a few and I love them. By the way, happy Birthday! cheers

Thank you Rogério:)

..and, yes, I have a lot of starlux replicas, by packs and herds! and I always try to keep one of them in original shape and colour because they are all testimonies of the sixties and seventies knowledge about animals.. it's interesting to compare the 2 versions of gorilla for exemple to see the evolution of their perception..

So nice that you collect Starlux with all the enthusiasm they deserve. I wished they could be easier to find in my country. monkey

Sometimes I watche French EBAY to check their prices but I never started really a Starlux collection. Postage to Portugal also oftens turns the deal more expensive than what is desired. If I ever start a Starlux fever, I will surely do it through French EBAY. Very Happy
