Papo Allosaurus

I picked up a Papo Allosaurus recently, because I wanted to have a go at customising it.

I was shocked when I opened the package- I thought I had received a bootleg. I have owned this toy in the past- but sold my earlier copy.

My older Papo had thicker paint application, so much so that it was harder to open the jaw. I can open the jaw much wider on this new version.

Unfortunately I don't have a direct comparison of the two figures together, but I do have an photo of my old Allosaurus here, before I sold it (ignore the Dilophosaurus )

The paint around the eyes is a lot sharper in the older figure.

I believe the same thing happened to the Papo Stegosaurus as well.
The old version had pretty white dots on the plates, while newer versions are just plain brown.

I think it is quite traditional on Papo that later production batches have poor painting.

Seems it is a general problem with most brands

But it is still a wonderful model

Yes, the paint apps on the Older Papo models have changed for better or Worse.   And its not just the Dinosaurs.

Anyone recall the Snow lepard?

I know that it sufferd from this. It has somthing to do with The company Changeing factorys if Im Right
