I believe this figure was not sculpted by an equine expert. It is too inconsistent with what a real horse should look like. Someone sculpted a random horse toy and that is what I feel watching this interesting walk around. You enjoy the color, I find it quite poor when compared with what Schleich already did with previous apalloosas in the past. I like that they give a pose somewhat different from the very common standing ones of the past but they still have a long way to walk to give us thesensation of natural motion in these figures. Current Schleich horses are very far from the realism we see on Anna's horses or current CollectA horses. However, it doesn't mean they are not interesting or undesirable, not long ago, my niece told me her favorite horse was the current Arabian mare when she owns horses from all eras.

Roger is right, of course. It is a far cry from what other brands make, when it comes to realism !
For one thing, she goes pace !
I don't know if appaloosas can be "gaited", but they surely aren't known for being pacers

Anyway, she is a cute toy, and as such she kind of appeals to me

She came in the set with the ginger foal and the gelding this year ^^
