I have been collecting the classics for a while and have quite a few. I decided to start taking photos of them. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks Kristie, Harriet and Peter. I love this little series. I still have quite a few left to find, but I am getting there. I have a couple of the Caro ones as well. I am searching for some of the variations, but they are not my main concern right now. I have the poodle in 2 variations.

Thanks so much. The farm life is a great set. I still miss several cows and horses as well as the 2 lambs, kid, donkey and sheep. I hope to add to my collection as soon as I can find them again.

Ooh, those are cool! My favorites are the bull, black foal, and of course the green danceosaurus! Very Happy I see there's a lot of variation in these models' degree of realism - are they all from the same period, or are the more stylized ones older?

Thanks so much. Each group of animals has a certain time period when they were made. Some were only made for 2 years, while some were made for up to 26 years. The first ones came out in 1965.

Fantastic Classics Collection Amy! queen
But that doesn't surprise me at all, as you are the Schleich-Queen around here! queen queen queen
I only have 10 or so, but i never hunt them specially, they come in by accident most of the time with other Schleich items...
Those flocked pieces must be very rare, i never saw them before... Shocked
There will be many variations to hunt for, as these series were very oftn used as promotional articles... Rolling Eyes
It is easy to recognise the later and first "normal" Schleich models in some of these models. Cool

Price is a question of supply and demand , - lots of people want them, and there are not THAT many in the market.
However, the price has gone down on the more common ones.
When Gaschar`s came in 2009, lots of collectors discovered them, and everybody wanted them, - now the market is more saturated.

I like them all ! The series of little farm animals from 92 - 95 is very, very charming :
