Schleich keychains

Does anyone know about the Schleich keychains? I was just given a keychain that is a pug and was told that it was a special addition keychain and only given to attendees at the different toy fairs, anyone know where I could look up such information?

You are very lucky to get one of those, I do not have any.
There are many, some rare, some not quite so rare.
Yours is from the 2011 Toy Fair in Nürnberg. It is beautyful and I think it will be a real collector`s item

I've seen something similar on ebay before, rabbits mainly I think.

Thanks so much for the information, I was given this as a gift from a Schliech distributor but I am not a collector so as much as I appreciate the gift I wish she would have given it to someone who is a true collector.

I was able to buy a Swabian Hall piglet 13636 on a keychain on ebay.com in December. The seller put about 8 one at a time up for auction. One of those deals where I set a limit and was outbid everytime but on the very last one...it stayed within my limit so I was very happy.

It has their theme "Anywheres a Playground" on the circle part so I'm guessing it was a 2010 one.
I believe someone ran a thread about this once and mentioned Toys R Us sometimes having them...can't remember where the thread is though sorry.

There are many keychains including a rabbit, meerkat, pug, piglet some of the baby animals , and smurfs. Some of the Toys R Us ones incude a german shepherd and wolf. Steve knows more about those. I haven't been able to get the Toys R Us ones yet. Most are from toy fairs as far as I know, but almost anything can be found on ebay.

I just found a Schleich frog keychain and the seller says it was given away at the 2013 New York Toy Fair: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I've never seen the Schleich keychains in stores here and I thought the general public wasn't permitted to go to the toy fairs, just retailers?

Yes, I've seen those before. I believe it is true, that those were given out at the New York Toy Fair. These ones only have "Schleich" written on them, and I think some say "Anywhere's a playground" also. I think the same thing - only retailers can go to the fair. But I might be wrong.

Right, not open to the public. Although I'm sure some people go with their buddies that own a store.
