My little "show-shelf"

Sorry to hear about your friend, what a lovely gift she/he gave to you.

I use to do this on top of my Breyer cabinets but as my collection grew, I couldn't decide who to put there and then I got more Breyers and less room. My poor model animals are now in a different room where no one can see them

I too love the AAA Gnu. A number of horses collectors got together last year and ordered from MPV. It was very good because we all paid a little postage and got the models that we really wanted :)

I can't understand why it would cost so much though ! One of my Satchmos came from Spain and it only cost £6 with recorded delivery and tracking.

First of May, so I have exchanged some of the figueres on the Showshelf.

Here is a little vitrine where I keep some of the Schleich dogs, bendies and hand-made figueres. The Paper-bear at the back, right of the lower shelf is one my son made when he was 8 years old

The shepheard is made by an artist from Peru : Barrientos. The girl and bird ia made by Vilmantes from Litaun.

The "wildlife section" of your shelves looks especially nice to me. I think it's a real pleasure to stare at it from time to time, is it?

My newest ones usually sleep by my bed at night

Harriet, top of paintings is a good place where happy critters can`t reach them
Whenever I can`t find one, I RUN to the dogs`s basket, the sofa or wherever they usually take their preys

Sylvia, I love, love, love to hear it

Oh, I'm really happy to find this topic, your collection shelves are beautiful and I don't know why I missed it! :)

Ken, I am happy you like the paintings. I used to raise horses, and each time I sold one, I bought a painting.
Later on I sold a painting that I did not like so much any more, and was very pleasantly surprised at the price it fetched, so I bought : Amimal figueres

Yes, Luc, Denmark is a very prosperous country, but people moan and complain if they don`t get everything served on a silver plate for free

We more or less only have Schleich-figueres here in Denmark, almost all of the ones I have, I have got from Germany

Your shelf is amazing. A wonderful thing to remember your neighbor by. Thanks so much for showing us the different stages that your shelf has seen. Hope to see many more in the future. You have a wonderful collection.
