Sorry to hear about your friend, what a lovely gift she/he gave to you.

I use to do this on top of my Breyer cabinets but as my collection grew, I couldn't decide who to put there and then I got more Breyers and less room. My poor model animals are now in a different room where no one can see them No

I too love the AAA Gnu. A number of horses collectors got together last year and ordered from MPV. It was very good because we all paid a little postage and got the models that we really wanted :)

I can't understand why it would cost so much though ! One of my Satchmos came from Spain and it only cost £6 with recorded delivery and tracking.

Hi Susanne,

Sorry to hear about your friend but you have a very beautiful memory from him and that is the important thing.

Congratulations on your big collection of animals, I saw many that I am still looking for and others that I get recently.

Please keep showing your collection as it is great.

First of May, so I have exchanged some of the figueres on the Showshelf.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Here is a little vitrine where I keep some of the Schleich dogs, bendies and hand-made figueres. The Paper-bear at the back, right of the lower shelf is one my son made when he was 8 years old Wink

The "wildlife section" of your shelves looks especially nice to me. I think it's a real pleasure to stare at it from time to time, is it?

Thankyou Ken and Luc flower
I can`t tell you how happy I am that you guys also like my figueres Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Ken, I am happy you like the paintings. I used to raise horses, and each time I sold one, I bought a painting.
Later on I sold a painting that I did not like so much any more, and was very pleasantly surprised at the price it fetched, so I bought : Amimal figueres cheers

Yes, Luc, Denmark is a very prosperous country, but people moan and complain if they don`t get everything served on a silver plate for free What a Face

We more or less only have Schleich-figueres here in Denmark, almost all of the ones I have, I have got from Germany Wink

Sure Very Happy

There is a very good discussion about various Mammuths in this string, - even our dear friends get a tiny little bit silly in the last part Laughing

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The Moose and mufflon are from AAA. The Mose and calf are interesting because they were sold by Bully in the 90s. They are a little primitive, but very charming, I think.

This reminds me that I have to take better photoes of my birds from Bullyland for my homepage.
It will take some time, though.
Untill then you may see them here ( not very good pictures)

Sad to hear about the los of your dear friend Susanne, but you will always have something to remember him, in which you keep your beloved models!
You seem to have the same problem as most of us here, haha.. Very Happy
My collection is expanding with 50-200 models every month, but you are expanding much faster, and with much rarer items in most cases, great hunting Suzy! cheers

I bought 2 similar little vitrines some years ago on a marketsite around here for a tenner, they were brown, but i painted them white.
They are in my toilet affraid , and showing my Cadillac models... geek
Here are some older pics of them with different car-models in them before.
I do collect animal related cars, souvenir cars from Zoo visits, other classic American cars and forklift-trucks to...
Now these vitrines only content Cadillacs...
