PostSubject: The first of the Dioramas   Mon May 31, 2010 4:06 pm

I'll give you a little background first.

My mum went into the games workshop to look for some rock molds. As she was waiting, someone tapped her on the shoulder. It was the husband of her best friend. So they got talking about what I want to do and on Friday he arrived with massive sheets on this foam stuff (I can remember the name but it can be used as insulation), red sand, sand, trees, pebbles, rocks, slate, foliage, grass and loads of other little bits.

So he was browsing my collection and he asked if he could borrow a model. So I said he could. I had no idea what for Neutral

So today he turned up with this Very Happy

I love it ! He's not worked in this scale before, he collects Britains and paints miniature soldiers, but I think it looks great Very Happy It's made on a bathroom tile. I've got a few models which will fit better with the scale but they haven't arrived yet.

Today he took another model, my grazing Zebra, and said he'll be back with a big water hole diorama in about a week ! I can't wait !!! cheers

Thank you all Very Happy

His wife was just telling me how excited he is to make dioramas again. She said he's in the shed with his music on, singing Laughing

Tonight I've started to have a go myself. I'm making one for my Ostriches. The idea is to make them all on tiles, of various sizes, so if I decide that one day I want to change the diorama around a bit, I just have to move the tiles. Just have to be careful that they don't break ! affraid

Great job, love the landscaping, and especially the carcass, keep it up.
