Mojo - Komodo Dragon - new colour

This year, Mojo gave a new colours to their Komodo Dragon.

Here is the original 2014 model :

Looks better now. I only miss a bit of pinkish around the eye.

The Mojo figure happens to be the representative in my synoptic collection, but I prefer the original color!

I think I will give a second chance to Mojö's Komodo dragon, I had it for a short time but ended trading it. I love the sculpt but the pose is so boring. Though, with this new painting, it gained a special extra life as we can see in your pictures turning the other models a little boring in terms of colors. I know many people love it but the Schleich figure, when displayed together with the Mojö Fun model, looks somewhat like a Chinamal.
I have the Papo, with its special Papo seduction and with that captivating pose.

I agree with the first thing you said. At the time, of all the 'standard' Komodo dragons, I thought the Mojo had the best sculpt and color, but a very boring pose, almost like a taxadermied specimen in a museum. Still, I went with it.

Kosta, I know Mojö's figure is the main actor here but could you please tell me which country is your Schleich Komodo dragon made in?

To share my feeling about the original model ... I also didn`t like the boring pose, but also the sculpt in general didn`t catch me .
I have other models, which I like more, so I didn`t buy it ..
But now, with this so interesting colours, the model also became interesting for my collection and I am happy with it :)

Thanks Kosta and Alain for your positive words about my country. Actually, I love Portugal, it is a wonderful place indeed. I am sure France and Bulgaria are wonderful countries too.

I am sad, that I didn`t know you before I had a chance to visit Portugal Roger.
It was a year 2013.
I was working on a cruise ship for 3 months and we had stops on many places , including Portugal and France.
Our stop was Lisboa for every 10 days and every time I was enjoing  walks on the senter.
Every time I had not more that 6 hours before I had to go again on the ship , but still it was nice 6 hours :)

On France, I discovered  Papo models for the first time and my journey with collecting animal models,  starts because of these 3 Papo models, which I bought there.
After these 3 monts of working on the cruise ship, I came back to Bulgaria .. I found , that we have a shop of Papo models..
I bought more of them and at the end of 2013, I found STS .
In 2014 I became a member here :)

I have travelled to both France & Portugal, we have a house in the French Alps. I only travelled abroad firstly in 2015 to Spain where me and my grandfather kept our eyes peeled for the nature reserves to look for birds we couldn't find in the UK. We saw flamingos, stilts, rollers, lizards and much more. Then in 2016 we travelled to Portugal and visited ZooMarine as well as many nature reserves. In the summer of 2019 we took our first visit to our newly acquired house in the Alps. We spent over a day in the car and stopped off in the same hotel and room on the way there and back, we are hoping to visit this winter as it gets lots of snow and is unrecognisable to the summer months.

I like very much tbe new painting, it remind me the dragons I saw at Beauval park this summer. I thought I already had too much Komodo dragons but I won’t resist to this one
