Congratulations on your newest additions Amy!
That old cat is hard to get normally, and when, they have little rubs in most cases, i saw your one too.
Great stable and farmhouse too!
I have those 2 cute little goats back again too, now i must find the white one again. Cool
But i have my doubts about your dark beagle, it looks like it is a re-paint...
I don't want to spill your joy of having this model finally, but if you look carefully at the way it is painted, and how fresh the paint looks, then you understand why i have these thoughts...
But i really hope, that i am wrong about this... Rolling Eyes
I know there are a lot of bad people in this business, that do re-paints and things like that, specially on rare models.
I saw this on old composition Lineols and Hausser Elastolins too..., specialists warned me to keep my eyes open for that, and e-bay does too. Shocked

Look at this beagle wich was sold for 468 Euro
[img][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/img]

And this one

[img][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/img]

I think its the same, but every camera makes a little bit other the colours.

I have asked the seller of the first beagle if it is the really true dark beagle.
He answers i don`t know. And it was sold for 468 Euro.
I think both are true.

And i think the most importand thing is the mark with the number 1.

It appears that there are some differences in the size of the black "saddle" on the back and rear quarters of the beagles in question. If there are fakes being auctioned on eBay, then the price of all black/white beagles may plummet, I would imagine.

I am very sorry, if Amy did buy a fake... Crying or Very sad
It was my first feeling when i saw the pics of her beagle.
The paint looks to new for me, and the painter didn't have a quit hand, when he did it...
I think, when you buy the right colours, and know how to make it look old, then you can earn a lot of money... Shocked
The number says nothing in this case Schmidchen, because the other old beagle could have this number too... Laughing

And how more i look at those pictures of the expensive one(which is original in my eyes), how more i see.
The original one has more yellow-white colours(Amy's one is just to white), the pads of brown are very different, the edges of the colours are sharper(because of the shaky hand of the fake painter), and i even believe that the re-paint was made from the latest beagle, because of the shapes on the body, like the mouth, just look at the pictures above... silent

Thanks for all the thoughts. Hopefully I can work something out about the beagle. I can definately see the differences between mine and Torben's and the one on ebay.de and the one in the Schleich catalog.

I love my cat and the barn and house especially. Michaela just wanted me to finish taking pictures so she could look and possibly play with the barn. She was helping me put horses in it for the photos and telling me I needed to put one in the last stall and I needed to open the top door so the horse could stick its head out.

And when it is a fake one, i hope for you that you didn't pay too much for it... Shocked

Thanks everyone for your concerns. I am sending the beagle back and the seller has issued a full refund. Now I have to look for another beagle, so the search and wait is on. Live and learn.

I'm glad that you got a refund, especially if it was really expensive !

I wonder if they will re list it and with a correct description now ?

I didn't buy it on ebay, I got it from an individual. I guess we will have to be more careful on this one, especially due to the prices that ebay.de has been bringing on them.

Ah, right. Well if they do decide to list it on eBay, I would hope that they would describe it correctly :)

I'll probably never look for this Beagle now if there are going to be fakes floating around.

13453 Stable girl with wheelbarrow. I think the wheelbarrow is too big, or she is too small. It is hard to get her to stand right with the handles in her hands. The wheelbarrow is too tall to fit good with her.

Wheelbarrow above her hands.

The most important is, you managed to discover it's a fake figure and managed to refund your money. :)

Yes, the puppy does look big, but it's not as big as the last ones.

Yes, it was very good. I am happy. Sad that I don't have a black and white beagle, but glad I have my money back. I will find another one of these days.

Thanks Ron. I know I will find one, but at these prices they have been bringing, I don't know if I will bid on one. Maybe more and more people will start selling theirs and the price will come down. Wishful thinking.

The wheelbarrow looks rather big for the girl, unless she is a young girl...I have seen chocolate labs in the flesh but I don't recall them having blue eyes. Doesn't mean I won't get them though. :)
