I would say, that it could be "Jägermeister"
But it is not a beer, it is a liqueur

I'd like to see that commercial.

Thanks for the great pictures Susanne, I prefer the colour of the German made one (of the version I have), it seems more realistic, don't you think?

Certainly! The German one is more realistic Very Happy rendeer
At least those that I have seen...

What a great photo of a red deer, Harriet.
It remeinds me that we never see the models with that gland under the eye.
Also they have a light area round and under the tail.

BTW, where I live is one of the only places in Denmark where there are wild Red deer.
A bit up north from here is a small heard that they think have lived there since the Stoneage ! DNA-analysis shows they are different from other red deer .

When on horseback one can get quite close to them.
The first time I saw them in the forest here, I thought it was loose cows, they are so huge !
But then they ran in between the trees, and I could see the white areas ( we call it spejl, - "mirror") hopping away from me, it almost looked like seaguls flying between the trees Laughing

That's lovely that you have them near you Susanne and amazing how long they've lived there!! That photo I posted was taken in Denmark - it's from Wikipedia, beautiful photo isn't it.
Yes, you're right about the gland scratch
I've seen red deer in Scotland, but we don't get them around where I live, unfortunately.

Yes, it is most definitely a liqueur...!! Tastes like cough syrup, but hits like brass knuckles... Laughing

It is said to be made from 15 different herbs and roots, including valerian root, which is the naturally-occurring form of the active ingredient in "Valium." Jägermeister is one of the most popular liqueurs in the United States.

Roger, I'm not sure I get what you said Embarassed - I don't like the fox's eyes because they don't look like fox eyes. As you know Foxes have slit pupils.
