| Last homemade model, finished yesterday: the Choiseul pigeon ( Microgoura meeki). Sole member of its genus, this bird endemic to Solomon islands went extinct in the early XX century. | Really beautiful bird! But your Museum of Sadness makes me sad... Is that a custom paddle fish (Chinese?) _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | What a beautiful model of this rare species, you are always so good at sculpting the plumage! It's so sad to see all the extinct species, especially as some are quite recent, and also to think that many went extinct because of us. But this is a wonderful way to remember all these species, with your lovely models! I had never heard of the Vaquita before, and did some research- it is just so sad that there are only about 12 in the wild! |

| I was not aware of this species. That's a family of birds we see everywhere, I'd say it is by far the family of birds most common around me and surely around many people. Though, some wonderful members of this family are already gone, being the dodo the most iconic of them. Now you tributed it beautifully with your growing talent. The impact of the name of your museum is perfect to describe what humans have been representing all these years. There's an effort, at least some conscience but what is really increasing is the level of hypocrisy. I love your idea, I hope you continue giving life to these recently extinct animals. |

| Thanks everybody for your kind comments yes, pigeons countains many species of recently extinct beauties I don't consider the dodo as in the pigeon family, so the most iconic would be the passenger pigeon, but there are many others. I love exotic obscure pigeons, some of them are amongst the most colorful and nice birds of the world :) I'm aware of the Yowie AUS model of Choiseul pigeon, but for Yowies the only ones that can match in my collection are some of the Yowie USA, both UK and AUS are not of my taste aesthetically :) _________________ My collection:- (Details):
