Timpo Zoo Series list

Thank you very much, that's very useful. It seems that TIMPO didn't use species names for their plastic zoo animal series and that they come from the Plastic Warrior.

Great catalogue.

Firstly, the guy who wrote this Timpo guide, Barney Brown, also wrote the Britains Zoo book and this had great acclaim here!

For clarification I searched the internet for images of trade boxes and located the following:

Timpo 6016 Monkey on tree - clearly stated on a Timpo trade box:

Hopefully, the above clears this up and provides the evidence needed that in the case of 6016 and 6020 the book is accurate in its description regarding Timpo's naming of animals.

Oh yes they did - check the trade boxes.

Please note MZ4010 in this catalogue is the metal version of the plastic 6016 - both called Monkey on tree.

Also worth mentioning is the plastic 6006 Black panther is derived from the metal MZ4007 Lioness and MZ4008 Tiger illustrated and named in this catalogue as such. Hmm Lioness and Tiger same mould! But OK we can just paint them different colours no one will know.
