It is wonderful to see your customs again.
Very surprising one, with so many bison figures that would probably require a lesser effort, you decided to do it from a Texas Longhorn bull. It is also interesting to see that the hump is not the only feature that distinguishes both bison subspecies.

This came from a Texas longhorn?

The wood bison has a long body. That's why I used the Papo Texas longhorn bull model.

You did a great job. Nice work on the shaggy coat.
And the paint work really finishes it off.

Thanks for your explanation, it makes all sense now. It was not predictable at all someone could use a longhorn to turn into a bison. Very clever from you!

Gotta be honest... you improved the texas longhorn by miles. REALLY awesome work and you made a faithful representation if this animal!

I didn't even know there were two kinds of bison, so this topic has been an educational read as well as admiring your handiwork in transforming the model into something very different. I can see why you decided against adapting an existing bison sculpt, and how handy to have a chart explaining each and every difference you had to consider in your resculpt work!
