2021 CollectA Koala Walkaround 88940 With Comparisons

Today I received 4 figures from CollectA's 2021 wild life line: The common otter, koala, male kangaroo, and Darwin's frog.

The detail is very beautiful on this koala and probably my favorite based on appearance. I do however wish he was smaller, but CollectA seems to be making their figures larger now. He matches the Schleich koala very well in terms of pose and paint scheme. Definitely a beautiful koala though that will stand out on a shelf or in photos  

I daresay this might be my new favorite model for this species. Congrats on all!

Obviously this is the most realistic koala around at the moment and I love the fact they made a distinctive chest gland on it. I also wish it was a bit smaller, but even at this scale it's a model hard to resist. Also, it seems that males are 50% larger than females, so I wonder if the Schleich model can be a female.

Wow, this is definitely a stunning model! I have loved all of CollectA's models from this year but some of them for me were absolute masterpieces: The boxer, beagle, basking shark and now this koala to name a few! The detail makes it look incredibly realistic!

We have been lucky with koalas lately. I never liked too much the figures available and in a short time we had Southlands, newer Schleich and now this stupendous model from CollectA. Comparing with the Schleich, that is easy because they are in a similar pose, we see the CollectA is more realistic, the Schleich model preserves a slight round design, with shorter limbs, however their heads look almost the same size. Like an adult and a youngster. CollectA's seems also more detailed, like those homemade resin sculptures. Thanks for these pictures.

I agree with you that it is definitely the most realistic koala that I have seen. I didn't know that males were that much larger! Since he matches the Schleich one so well I think they would be perfect for photos together as a male and female.

Another nice one, but again I'll stick with the most recent from Schleich for now.

CollectA rules, as usual, however, I fear that the size difference with the Southlands female is too important. Kosta suggested to use the Schleich as a female but in my collection, it's already the male mate of the Southlands female so...
