Red River hog

I recently bought another one of these models and noticed that the paintwork on the face was different.Has anyone else noticed this?

The one on the left is the newer one and the older is on the right.

Oh wow, I may need the updated version. The paint on the face is greatly improved.

I guess I have the older version because mine doesn't have any white on the face at all. Maybe this can be an excuse to get a pair of river hogs Laughing

I love red river hogs, they are so beautiful. I used to watch them in the zoo ages ago.
These little figures are just gorgeous. What a nice family you have Taylor :)

Perhaps different painters have 'heavy' hands with a brush ?
I like the whiter new version the best I think:)

Huh, one of the rare cases where later runs of a figure looks better than the earlier ones. The pronounced white mask looks much better, and matches up closely with the promotional pictures.

Still, the sculpt to me feels a bit off. Maybe its the proportions? Head too big and wide?
