| Gabe, I agree I like Papo the best, as I've said before. I also see you said they are realistic and artistic, which is what I've said many many times. However, I like Safari LTD a lot, so I'll collect their figures as well. I think Schleich's style is made more for children, than adult collectors. Which is fine, just not my style. So enjoy your Papo, and that's really generous of you to give your Schleich away to other collectors!

| Thanks baltimore zoo. Indeed, Schleich is inclined for children, with their rather "cute" figures. Another thing I really like about Papo is the dynamic pose. _________________ Born to be Wild and Free!

Perhaps, but aren`t most plastic figueres primarily meant to be toys ? Educational toys, perhaps It is my impression that the larger part of grown up collectors are collecting Schleich, but I may be wrong |

| "We're all kids..." Yes, Gabe the poses are dynamic! I would like to see Papo and Safari, continue to be original, actually "more" original with their poses. Like the photo I had found of the charging bull yak, would have been much more ORIGINAL than this years yak's similarity to the old Schleich yak. (http://true-wildlife.blogspot.com/2011/04/yak.html) I hate "copycatting" and basically it comes down to each company coming up with the same animal just "their" version, like last years's 3 different Malayan tapirs. I wish I could sit in on one of these companies board meetings where they get together and ponder what to make! I'd set um' straight! Scene: Papo Production Board Meeting: Papo #1 Employee "Hmmm, I guess we should make the yak like the Schleich yak?" Papo #2 Employee "Yes, I guess, but of course our's will be a more artisitic version" B.Z. "How about making this(show photo) charging yak?" "It's totally different from the Schleich and the pose will be very striking!" Papo #1 & #2 Employee "Wow!" "How nouveau!" "Papo should hire you, for our concept designs and ideas!" If they had made a a yak similar to the charging yak, I would have gotten one!

| Indeed, that picture of the charging yak should have inspired the guys at Papo. But at least they created a WILD yak, unlike Schleich's domesticated one... And as for Schleich, I still love that brand - they're my second best. p.s. I liked your little scene. _________________ Born to be Wild and Free!

| Like I said, Papo needs to step it up, and come up with developing different positions for their animal figures than making them similar to other brands. Safari LTD is my second favorite. I think this years Indian rhino is awesome "Papo quality" like figure. Plus their Wildlife Wonders is a very nice line(for example, their Orang is amazing!). Schleich and the rest have a ways to go!

| I know how you said Gabe, you only want to collect one brand, well one thing I do is if another company makes a figure that really good I'll get it, and I always think that I can "mix and match" with Papo(If the figures "Papo-like worthy" and relative scale to the display it's going in). |

| No, I don't have any other rare items like the marine ones or retired antelopes. It feels really good, I tell you, to have only one brand... a special feeling. _________________ Born to be Wild and Free!

| Hi Roger My brother is not a serious collector, so I wanted to give the musk ox and mountain goat to those serious collectors who desperately looking for them and appreciate their "extinct" status. _________________ Born to be Wild and Free!
