| I've just seen these figures for sale as MiniaturePlanet for 2023. Does anyone know if it is officially a new Eikoh set? |

| What species are the monkey (looks like some kind of squirrel monkey) and mongoose? If it is Miniatureplanet, Eikoh might indicate. |

| BTW figures on eBay do show the traditional Miniatureplanet tag on the animals, so I am thinking it's legit! |

| Taylor is correct, the same place where I found this picture shows these models with MiniaturePlanet tags. Unfortunately no information about the species. It looks like a squirrel monkey but it lacks the dark around the mouth so I have no idea what it is supposed to represent. |

For the monkey is no match in the "Bildatlas der Primaten" with no black aroun the mouth. Also only one match with a no black hairs on the head. _________________ www.spielzeugtiere.com STS members can merge Andreas |

| I don't have the Japanese names but the list does not specify some figures up to the species level. Here we go:
Aardvark African Buffalo Galapagos Marine Iguana Jackson's Chameleon Lion Lion Cub Mongoose Ornate Horned Frog Ostrich Radiated Tortoise Rattlesnake Rockhopper Penguin Sand Cat Squirrel Monkey Sun Bear Tiger |

| It's been suggested by Pardofelis/Isidro on the ATF that the 'mongoose' is a falanouc, and I am included to agree. |

| To be fair it is a good match even if it is not a true mongoose. Though, the model seems quite poor and I believe a few identifications will work. This set seems to be lazier than the average Eikoh models and that was the reason of my doubts before seeing the tags. Since you shared this info on ATF, I can see that not even Brett is aware of this set. So let's wait for official information, sometimes the Japanese names are more informative. |

| I agree for the Falanouc, it is a clever choice.
For the Saimiri the "best" choice seems the Ecuadorian squirrel monkey to me. |

| Oh, I missed this thread Falanouk and Sand Cat will be definitely on my list The squirrel monkey and rattle snake will depend on the exact species... But it´s always so hard to get those Eikoh figures here in Europe |
