Congratulations Harriet to your really GREAT addition! These photos are the best proof why I think the Kaiyodo/Shogakukan NMOJ figures are far the best plastic animal figures I ever saw :)

I was given them in a trade, but there were no booklets with them - they're from the series "Natural Monuments of Japan"
the bird is a Rock Ptarmigan, lizard Kishinoue's Giant Skink and the otter is just a river otter.

Wow, those are gorgeous! The coloring on that ptarmigan... cheers It's funny though, that otter isn't too different to the one in Safari's toobs - but the presentation! Well painted, loaded with detail, and on a lovely little base. Just beautiful. Very Happy

Here is the link to the complete set, I have most of them but I don't have many of the booklets. They are no longer available and some are very expensive but if you can find them I would recommend them. My favorites are the giant salamander, the Okinawa rail and the fruit bat. Actually there are none I don't like and only a few I am missing, some of the smaller bird species and some of the insects that at the time I was getting the figures I didn't want and now I can't find them.
