Ryukyu black-breasted leaf turtle (Geoemyda japonica)

This is one of my favorite reptile and it has been sitting on my shelf for quite some time (it's a bit dusty!) and only today did I take it out for a few photo shoot.

As far as concerned, this is an endangered animal, listed under IUCN as endangered (IUCN 2.3).

  Isn't it strange how there is always dust on models from the shelves, when you take photoes of them ? No matter how much you sweep and brush

I have some old brushes stashed away in my drawer. I'll do just that. Otherwise, the replicas are left untouched on my shelf, so that they are in mint condition.

And yes, I agree, this is a very beautiful replica made by Kaiyodo. It's part of their natural monument/book series and I must say, I'm a great fan of them.
