Really great to see all of these Bullylands together Andreas!
I have a huge collection of them to, because i liked them from the beginning i started to collect the modern brands, and the price is right indeed!
I love the bearded vulture and Mandarin duck, i have to get them to!

Again a Schleich sneeked in Andreas, the marmot or groundhog(Murmeltier).
By the way Harriet, the one you thought it would be a prairiedog is in fact a marmot to...

Yes, that is true Harriet, and often difficult to see in models, but the prairiedog is so much smaller as the marmot, he could easily fit 4 times into the marmot...
I saw both in real life from very near, the prairiedog in a zoo in Spain(Elche), which was eating out of my hand, and they were running free.
The marmot i saw in an Alp-tour with my brother, waiting for his underground lair to come out, it was about 50 cm from his face! :)

After answering this tread, i made a quick search for these pics, and i found them!
Here is the picture from the Alpine marmot i mentioned, i was lying for his lair, waiting for him to come out.
I think i was about 17 years old then, so about 32 years ago!

The next pics are from the visit in the Elche Zoo in southern Spain, next to where my brother lives, where i shot these prariedogs...
They were walking around free as i said, and they liked my peanuts!

They are such cute pictures Willy - used to see them in the wild in Canada, when I lived there. It was funny watching them poke their heads out of the holes. The wild ones were very timid.

I remember now, that we saw some wild Ibexes in the Alps to, in that particular time, and that on our very first hiking-tour in the Alps, which was a very big luck!
A lot of my brothers collegues and friends never saw one before in their lifes in the wild, and they did lots of those hiking tours in the Alps, just over the border in Austria.
My brother and his Bavarian wife lived in München in that particular time by the way...
My brother still owns this picture, i have to ask him about it.
Although far away, when i remember well, they were clearly to be seen.

By the way, it must have been great living in Canada Harriet, so much wildlife around there...

I was also in the Alps (20 years ago) but i see no animals.

Yeah, you must be on the right place and the right time i guess...

I was very young, but yes I enjoyed it - I wouldn't want to live there now though, I love England too much

Yes it was Harriet, they were about a few hundred meters away from us, so we kept quit and a low profile to enjoy the great site!

Although Canada is a great place to live, i often wonder in nature programs, how much wildlife the Uk still has, some very rare European species, and how close wildlife is to humans sometimes...
But i am sure, it has to do with the way how houses and cities are build here, very close to eachother, and small cultured gardens, which are not inviting to the wildlife i guess...
