PostSubject: My collection updated to say the least   Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:24 am

So...my old thread has to go! This new one will explain everything.

Besides from the fact that I have recently aquired a grand total of 25 new animal figurines from Bullyland, CollectA and Safari, my vitrines have been rearranged 100%.

The ones on the hallway have been changed with 3 new taller ones, out of which 2 are perfect for displaying animals because they have glass protected shelves and even incorporated lighting. Those will host all my extanct animals excluding some big whales and sharks.

I have only finished arranging Europe, Asia(the 2 new spoonbills from CollectA and the Bullyland snow leopard didn't have enough space left, what to do what to do!!!!???) and North America. South America, Oceania and Africa are in progress.

Moving the extanct animals meant the 2m vitrine in my room was empty. So far I have occupied 3 shelves with prehistoric animals, and I am working on the other 3.

My wardrobe panorama was destryoed to make space to my lego-fantasy warriors collection, which means some of the items in my sale-thread are gone because I do not lack space anymore! :)

The final thing to do will be arranging my remaining critters, mostly farmlife and sealife.

As you can see there's alot of work to do! Neutral Rolling Eyes

I will try posting photos sooner or later this week!

Your shelves look very nice, Mihnea! Do you spend much time staring at them for your pleasure?

Wildheart wrote:

I'd advise you to make second floors in your shelves, just as you have done for your N. American birds.
You could use wood constructions or artificial plants for this, for example. Birds and small tree-dwellers would be displayed much better above the large terrestrial species.

New here are the WotW Toucan and Hyacinth Macaw + Safari Red-eyed tree frog.

Cant help but notice you have Alomyrhina dichotoma in South America...this beetle is Asian. No biggie, just an observation :-)

Laughing That's a mixed shelf! I also have animals from Madagascar, Africa and Australia in it!

Btw, my latest 2 new additions are the Bullyland Edaphosaurus and the CollectA Hatzegopteryx!

I have some great news for this month! I haven't only bought some new interesting figurines, but also a new Sony camera because my old one has broken down. I will try to find some time to photograph my latest aquisitions, even though I will most likely leave it for another time(this weekend is full-I'm going on a trip to the mountains with my classmates):
Schleich red fox kit
Schleich Fizzio and porcupine(has anyone noticed the boy is made out of a softer material, similar to Bullyland?)
Carnegie Protoceratops nest(from Gwangi)
CollectA Eotyrannus and Lufengosaurus

That's all for now! Very Happy
