Ohhh, your photoes are WONDERFUL, - and the figueres also, of course Very Happy

Yough, don`t mention slugs, - we have some that are really, really creepy, - they even come into the house sometimes affraid Mad

They are an invasive species, they call them Ibereian slugs, but I am not sure that is where they come from scratch

Just think of them as dinner, or more properly, an appetizer, Susanne... Wink Not all slugs are suitable for eating, but the ones that are are divine, if prepared appropriately. The classic dish Escargot à la Bourguignonne is phenomenal, but I've also had slugs grilled and served on polenta rounds in Italian cuisine. Someday, I hope to find a good French restaurant which serves Escargots En Cercueils, which is the classic snail in puff pastry... Cool

I've also had the pleasure of eating sea slug in a fantastic Japanese cuisine restaurant, and it was divine...

I guess I'm a little strange ( Laughing ) but I've always found slugs and snails to be quite cute. Here in the great state of California, the University of California at Santa Cruz' athletic teams are known as the Banana Slugs, so maybe I'm not alone.

One more - another Bargain from eBay.
Mountain Goat

Comparison with the Safari one, which is practically identical, the Schleich one is better IMO, but I like them both very much cheers

Lovely mountain goat, Harriet... cheers I have a special place in my heart for this figurine, as it was the first Schleich I ever purchased (at a toy store in San Francisco). I had no idea what Schleich was, but saw a huge display with many fine animal figurines, and I was intrigued, to say the least...!!

You are a very great man, Christophe... Laughing Thanks for the lovely photos. I'm now quite hungry!

Isn't a "cocotte" a custard-like egg dish? Egg, snail and mushroom would be a heavenly trio.

An "oeuf cocotte" is indeed a custard-like egg dish like those ones :

We called them "oeufs cocotte" in France because the recipe used to baked the egg is a small cocotte.

Here is a pic of my bigger cocotte with a "épaule de 6 heures" or "épaule d'agneau à la cuillère"

But we are far far from the topic... Embarassed

so... VERY VERY EXCITING MODEL HARRIET cheers cheers cheers
