Gabe,
Nice Papo collection! I still recommend adding the white tiger, black jag, young lioness, young lion playing, mandrill, baby hippo, giraffes(Adult and baby) ostrich and from the farm collection the Spanish bull and Texas bull!
Keep on PAPO'ING : )
Hopefully the 2012 assortment will be a good one!

Your Papo collection, Gabe, looks fantastic and the Chamois drunken

Sumo, what brand is the hippo to the right of the Papo rhino, in front of the pick china hippos? scratch
Good question. Embarassed The bellystamp simply says "Made in China", but there's also an oval with "TM" inside. However, this is obviously not the TM hippo - I've got that one too, and he's very different (also, his bellystamp is an oval with T.M., note the punctuation). Odds are our bignecked hippo friend is just another brandless cheapie... unless anyone has any other information?
Thanks for the info, I really like the look of it - one might come up on eBay I guess. It's not often you see a hippo of that size with it's mouth closed. bounce

Hear! Hear Ken! that's what i like about this forum!

Sumo, your horses are wonderful. what is the unpainted bob-tail on the base, right above your big repaint? it looks like a portrait of an 18th Century racehorse.

Gabe, your collection is spectacular- no wonder you decided to collect Papo! The detail and colors are so beautiful.

My son had left a small "hanging vitrine" when he left home several years ago.
He said I could have it, and I wanted to paint it white.
But I never got round to do it, and yesterday when Son was here, he put it up on the wall for me Very Happy

The intention was that I would have my Starlux-figures there, - but alas, they are so small scratch

So now I have crammed too much into it, it looks horrible, but, anyway - here it is Laughing Laughing

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

If I show it to you now, hopefully it will inspire me to make it look better so I can show you an improvement later geek Laughing

Oh land, if you think that's horrible, you'd better never see my back room!
Only thing this vitrine needs is more figures! I like that Mr. Dancing Greenjeans is so prominent!

What a fantastic tread this is, to see some of your collections here or again!
I am quit familiar with some of your collections, like Sergeys, which always are a joy to see! Very Happy
After a long time, i see pictures of Christophes collections again, which are awesome of course, although i don't get the point how he select his animals and brands, because everything seems to be quit mixed up, please explain my friend!
Not, the composition, metall collections, i understand them... Laughing
Right now, i have my collections devided in animal species and animal groups, and i lack a lot of space, but we all have that i guess...
I do have lots of them in boxes to, which won't find a place right now.
I will do my best do make some pics the coming week, and when i find the time, make some little movies, which i will put on youtube, from which you will get the links here after that then.
I hope much more collections will come here soon, so that we can enjoy them all! cheers

After a long time, i see pictures of Christophes collections again, which are awesome of course, although i don't get the point how he select his animals and brands, because everything seems to be quit mixed up, please explain my friend!
Not, the compositoon, metall collections, i understand them... Laughing
Right now, i have my collections devided in animal species and animal groups, and i lack a lot of space, but we all have that i guess...

So... The topic is "your collections now" Wink So you saw my "collections now" Laughing Laughing Laughing

So why mixed up ???? Too busy ? What a Face Too lazy ? Sleep Too much wine ? cheers Laughing Laughing Laughing

My 1960's and 70's collection are in box but I try to find a solution to add more displays : so no STARLUX, JIM and only a few HAUSSER and BRITAINS are visible.

Well, i ment not to harm you of course... Laughing
But i see al sort of animal groups, families and so on mixed up through those vitrines and shelfs of yours... scratch
you dived some groups in age of makers, but after that i see dinosaurs mixed with modern animals, and scales mxed up, i can't see clear, haha... drunken
And this had nothing to do with drinking my famous Baco... geek
