i think safari is better then papo...papo,s sculpture it seems to have a broken leg and the color it,s like a cameleon on grass. Anyway...i have something with papo...but it,s my problem. but between safari and papo i prefer the old schleich komodo dragon.... Razz

I can't tell which one is the best, the shape are fine on both model and of course the color of the papo is a bit odd. But they are very decent komodo dragons.
I have the Papo and I think I will buy the Safari too  Very Happy .
About the Schleich, it's not exactly a komodo dragon... it's a mythological creature with the head and body of a komodo dragon and the tail of a snake What a Face .

I like very much the COLORATA dragon

Congratulations, Komodo dragons are very nice species!
The only I know is the Papo and I have and love it! I can't tell about the others but in pics the Schleich looks very toyish! The Safari looks great!
Papo has a walking pose that's the reason why he looks have a broken leg like the real ones... is nice replicas look like real animals and not like funny toys!

The COLORATA, one looks to me the most realistic of them all! But I like all of them equally I think Laughing

How big is Papo's komodo dragon? It is the same size as the Nile croc?

Papo artists/sculptors really do an excellent job on their reptiles! The detail of the scales/skin is truly magnificent!

I would really like to see Papo continue with their reptiles by making a Gharial, American Alligator, and a resting position Nile croc!

I like the Komododragon, he looks good to me, and in scale with the croc, which isn't the biggest one i guess...
I do have 4 different komodo's now, from which some are good, and one is bad for sure, see here:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
14166 Schleich 2000-2005

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
268829 Safari Ltd, for me the best, but the biggest to...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
68388 Bullyland, the worst...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
68491 Bullyland, the earlier model, and so much better i think...

the Walrus is wonderful, I love the paintwork - it looks very realistic. Even with the lines I'd like to get the moose drunken

Ah, I don't want to make the roll of the bad boy, but seeing pictures of the Colorata I only can think in a fish! Body looks really short, full of straight lines, wrong shape of the belly and head, not very natural pose with the tail completly far from the floor and the body should be slightly waving, it looks Colorata tried to make a walking figure! Texture looks really nice but honestly the Papo looks better shaped! Ah, of course I would be wrong since I don't have the figure! Laughing

Wonderful pictures, Christiphe cheers
It is great to see them together.

Laughing After you mentioned, I just can`t get over the weird tail of the Schleich one, - what were they thinking about scratch

I think I like the Papo one best, - if only it wasn`t green What a Face

I prefer the COLORATA because IMHO it is the most realistic Wink

Papo Komodo gets' the Monitor Lizard "Best in Show" award! Yes, maybe a bit too green, but the sculptor really captured the body in motion,
the facial expression and skin texture's awesome!

Disagree with you. The sculptor didn't capture the body in motion. It is a bit too bended and the tail is also too much bended.

A few real Komodo dragon in motion : These animals bend their body but not as much as the PAPO and I say nothing of the odd tail.
