Here with ostrich and chick schleich.

Looking at this picture, I need to improve the position of the chick Schleich because it is so bent forwards and I do not like.
Tomorrow I will bend, with hot water -cold water ,to make it look better.

Beautiful! Looking at these next to the Schleich really shows off how good they are - the poses are so much more natural and the sculpting really is outstanding! Collecta needs to make more birds, they're really great at it. Very Happy

I like Collecta chicks more - their fluff looks more messy and therefore natural. I've never seen so nicely groomed real ostrich chick as the one from Schleich Very Happy
Now I'd love to see adult ostrich from Collecta to compare it with Schleich (and possibly other brands). Anyone has it? What a Face

I think their sheep are from the first figueres they made. Many of those first ones , even horses, were really quite primitive.
We can hope that they are getting round to the sheep eventually, making new, nice ones Very Happy

How did you fix the chick from bending over?
Also, they need to make a larger ostrich, because the chicks(To me they look like pretty young chicks) are too big compared to the adult...

oh, that's a relief. I was afraid they'd just completely lost their minds when they did their sheep. The poses of the lambs are excellent, but they have calf heads with pig noses and ears!

i will keep my fingers crossed that some day they will make lambs as wonderful as the ostrich chicks.

:) :)

How repair animal figures ?

I put water in pot to boiling.
IN other pot ,put water with ice.
Submerge animal legs,in boiling water 15 seg.
Out it , Bend with your finger ,legs of your animal. holding and quickly immersed in water + ice other 15 seg.

Note 1 study
For not to burn, before bending, immerse the fingers of your hand on the water+ice.

Note 2 study
Times can variated:

Bodies or necks.....................25 seg.
Thick legs................................20 seg.
Thin legs,tails,heads...............15seg

Is just a little practice and their animals are ok.

I repaired all my animals ........ cheers

Note 3 :

valid to pvc animals(type schleich, papo ,collecta ,safari ...),
In other materials..care

lol! Carolynne, - that poor lamb Laughing Laughing
It surely looks like it is a mixtire of different animals. Laughing
Strange, - they look really nice in the catalogue scratch

Thankyou very, very much, Fernando flower
That is a great instruction, - I have some figueres that I left in a window and the legs bent completely when the sun hit them affraid
Now I know how to make them stand up again. cheers

PS, that was many years ago I left figures with thin legs in the windowsill, of course drunken

Thanks for the detailed pics, Fernando!
And hurray! - Collecta chicks more or less fit in scale with Schleich ones, so it's possible to make up a family (but still - without an ostrich mother... Sad)

Beautiful chicks Fernando! Well done and with unusual poses! Nice figures from CollectA! I agree that is missing a female!

Sheepgirl: Susanne is right, CollectA sheep is from the first year of CollectA what was not a good year! Soon or later CollectA will replace many of their farm animals, I hope! Very Happy

Really fantastic austrich chicks Fernando, they are great! cheers

I do the same trick like you for a long time already, only i use a hairdryer to warm the model up, bend the parts of the model in position, and cool them off with cold water to. Cool
