| Hi Friends, today i was very surprised. In the afternoon i got a call from a staff member of Schleich. She asked me a lot of things about collecting, trading, selling older figurines, how to buy and many more. It seems Schleich has recognized that there are not only kids but many older collectors worldwide. I became the permission to use the Schleich logo and photos and i will become next month a new DVD with high-resolution pics from their complete product line from 2011 and some surprises, i will tell later. It could be the beginning of a very good cooperation Torben |

| I don`t know how you make this. I have two times asked at the Schleich company, if i could make an Schleich exposition here in Essen. But i never got an answer. I think it would be an good publicity for Schleich an for me it where a lot of fun and perhaps i could find connections to some unknown collectors. I hope you copy the DVD for all of us, ore for one of us and this one could share the film to each other. |

| Torben you just made my day, and my whole week, with this wonderful wonderful news! My whole week's been sooo crappy. I've been waiting for long for Schleich to realize that they are making their products for us not-children too and NOW THEY DID. This is freaking awesome! |

| wooow, torben, that's amazing!!! can't wait to know about the new figures and concepts of 2011!!!^^ ...maybe Schleich even wants to know the collectors' (our) wishes for new figures and themes in their sortiment! that would be so great! I think it would help Schleich a lot to become even more popular and successfull, if people knew that the company is cooperating with fans and collectors to improve their products. it would mean so much to me, at least did they say anything about such plans, torben? we all would be so happy to know that Schleich wants some cooperation with us :) |

| So exciting for all of us on the forum. Did she say how she knew to contact you? Wonderful! I'll bet they have been following all that everyone says in the threads without anyone knowing! They have realized what a following they have in Young AND Adult collectors now too. I look forward to hearing and seeing more Torben. This is such an accomplishment for you and all your hard work to get this forum going. You are appreciated and deserve it! Simply put : Awesome! ~Sue |

| Really great news. At least Torben will become our contact or 'middle-man' as such between us collectors and Schleich. He is our representative or spokesperson! Well done! Now we finally have a direct connection with Schleich and I really hope they take our ideas on board. Cant wait to see what is coming up for 2011. Schleich may recognise the collectors world and I think one of two things could happen: 1 they take our ideas on board and feed into their collections 2 OR they could start up a new 'adult collectors' type club where collectors can purchase products specially made for us such as limited edition animals that Schleich may deem not worthwhile producing en masse. Whatever the case this is exciting news and a good start. Schleich if you are reading this then I would like to repeat what I have been asking over the years "PLEASE MAKE SOME MORE ANTELOPE AND OTHER ANIMALS!" :) Times are finally lookin good...... |

| I reckon it could also be related to in part with Safari's attempts with communicating with collectors - Safari has facebook pages and provide a portal for collectors to voice opinions etc.
Schleich may want to emulate that given what many companies do.
On one hand Barbie has a collectors club set up for adult collectors and on the other many organisation find it useful to liaise directly with their consumers so it must definitely some sort of new market strategy for Schleich to 'engage' with their consumers. After all Schleich cant really liaise with children who buy the toys but their parents or collectors. lets see what happens. :-) |

Corporate social networking is a buzzword today, and it's even surprising why Schleich didn't make any direct steps to its consumers earlier, as Safari did. _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite!
