I am lucky cause here in Croatia they don't value plastic animal figures. Laughing Some vintage toys are at value, for example old rubber kids toys witch were made in ex Yugoslavia, people buy them at flea markets for half euro then resell them for big money.I have a bunch of that toys from my childhood and I'm not giving them up Laughing

That is wonderful ! Very Happy Nothing like having your toys from your childhood, - and just wait till you get older Wink

My dad sometimes brought me Steiff toys when he had been in Germany. I loved them dearly. A terrier, a lion and two hedgehogs with clothes on. The mother hedgehog had a blue dress and a black-and-red checked pinafore.
Unluckily they were in my parent`s summercottage when they sold it, so I lost my teddies Sad

A couple of years ago I passed the area where the summer cottage is. It was winter and completely deserted, and couldn`t resist going there and peeking through the window. Can you imagine : There my old Steiff-darlings were Shocked Sitting on the sofa Shocked
They had stayed in the house for almost 45 years !
I should have left a note and asked if they would sell them Very Happy

The foal and grazing calfs are copies of Herald models, which was taken over by Britains in the late 1960's.
Britains still produced some of these models for a very short time after the take-over.
I am not sure about those other 2 calfs, the blue one looks like an older 1950's or 1960's model from the USA, i know the model of the brown calf, and i have the adult that belongs to this model, it was made in Hong Kong in the 1970's, no known brand which made this model to my knowledge.
The lioncubs and baby kangaroo are cheap copies of the original Britains vintage models.
The 2 little cows are probably small versions of the Hausser Elastolin models, now produced in the HO scale by Preiser, which is the manufacturer of these 2 i guess.

The 4 cows on the right are Britains vintage copies, the black bull on the left on picture 2 also.
The cow far left is probably marked China.
The other bulls are often to be seen in Hong Kong sets of the 1970's, they might be Herald copies to, but i really don't know if Herald made this model to... Rolling Eyes

You have so many gaited horses cheers

I LOVE that old Bully-horse a lot also I love you
The model was made already in 1980, by the compagny that is now called Bullyland ( as you probably already know, soory Embarassed Wink )

Later they were made in other colours. It took me several years to collect these, because Bully was never really sold in Denmark , - they are some of my absolute most beloved horse figures Very Happy Very Happy

The small model of the brown heavy horse is an older Bullyland model indeed.
The company was always called Bullyland, but marked their older figurines often with only Bully... Laughing

The horses are all smaller Hong Kong copies of the Britains model from the late 1960's, and 1970's.
I don't recognize the 2 black horses on the pic before.

The white horse is made for the Linde company in Germany in the 1950's-1960's, Linde made coffee or chocolate, i don't know exactly, and gave these figurines away.
It is very very damaged by the way...
I can't see exactly what the red coloured deer is, but it looks like a USA brand from the 1950's-1960's, which made very much of these type coloured animals.
The deer-pair and chimp-pair do look nice, are they not marked under them?
They look like the figurines that were given away with margarine in Germany in the 1950's-1960's.

The little lion doesn't ring a bell either...
It looks like a more modern figurine made in China, or maybe even by New Ray USA.

The little piglet and white kitty are Schleich mini's, made from 1965-1996.
They are not marked as Schleich, they were to little for that.

The last figurine is the rest of a Scottish highlander bull, made in Hong kong, a copy of the Britains model.
Here are some pics to compare:

Hong Kong 1

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Hong Kong 2(probably your model)

The original 2142 Britains Higland steer, as it was called

I alo love your "Made in China Takshing" figures, they are so fine and deatailed I love you

Willy, I think you are mistaken, the compagny was originally registered as Bully-Figuren, a period the catalogues were called Bullyworld. It did not become Bullyland untill later, - or do you have info not available to me ? scratch

Susanne, i think you are mistaken... geek
Everywhere you go find and seek the history of the company, they are calling it the Bullyland company.
Actually the original name was Bullyland Volkmar Klaus GmbH & Co up to 2005, when the company was sold the Klaus Fischer, who changed the name into Bullyland GmbH.
Here is the link;
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Your Highland steer is not only missing ist horns, but its tail and a leg to Nina... Laughing
The left white deer IS marked, the name Linde is on the side Nina... Wink

Yes Susanne, that is a strange story, and i hope we will get the right answer, as we want to give the right information on this forum, isn't it? Rolling Eyes

Ok Nina, so you ment the other deers, which i didn't recognize.
They lok like the flat figurines, that were given away with margarine in Germany in the 1950's and 1960's... Laughing

Yesss cheers
At last I found this again. I searched and searched, and then a lot of other things happened and I forgot geek

Yes it is a strange story indeed Shocked
I got this ansver :

Sehr geehrte Frau Moller,

You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] besuchen.
Bei weiteren Fragen stehe ich Ihnen gerne jederzeit zur Verfügung und verbleibe

Mit freundlichen Gruessen / With best regards

Carina Krieg
Zentrale

It shortly translates into her saying that the compagny was always called Bullyland and that Bully is an abbrevation.

Only strange that they were registered as Bully-Figuren scratch
I am not completely sure i beleive the nice lady from their Zentrale Laughing

Well, I suppose it all boils down to the figures being called Bully for many years, which was originally what I meant Wink
Here is an example from their 25 years anniversay catalogue :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Great that you brought this up, Willy, I never before gave it a second thought what the compagny was called, I only thought they were called the same as their brand.
But then their museum and some of their catalogues are called Bullyworld, - they really know how to confuse people Laughing drunken geek

Ok Suzy, so the name was always Bullyland as i thought, which seems normal, as the name of a company is not often changed. Laughing
But you are right in the fact, that companies use many different brandnames through the years, and even in the same period, which can get very confusing sometimes... Shocked
We both knew about the name Bully, and i never gave any attention to the other names like Bullyworld, or Bully-Figuren, which were only used for some series, or particular periods maybe... Laughing
I doubt if newer employees of a company know exactly about the history of the company they work for sometimes.
Maybe you should have send the paper with the mail ,on which the name Bully-Figuren was used...
Next to that, the company was taken over, so the people in the administration, middle-section and the top are not very connected with the real history of a company... Crying or Very sad
Specially the modern Chinese brands are using many different names for their products and lines.
Wild Republic is an example for that, or CollectA to...
And it is up to us to keep clear on these things, which is not always easy indeed... Evil or Very Mad
