Congrats!
The Britains tapir is made in the 1970's.
The so called fox is a Marx copy, and it is a wolf actually, maybe it is even a Marx, they are not marked as such.
The lionesses, gorilla, lightbrown horse, eating pig and polarbear cub are mostly smaller Britains copies, made in Hong Kong. of the vintage models.
Vintage is the name for the older Britains models, the newer ones are called deetail models. Cool

Here is my Marx wolf, from which i still doubt if this exact model was made by Marx, as there were copies on the market.

Ohhh, those horses are marvellous cheers
How old are they ?
Funny with older gaited horses in a British brand, - or in any European brand.
It is perhaps only 30 - 40 years ago when the Dabish vets thought an Icey was lame if they saw it in pace or Tölt Laughing

But if we go app perhaps 300 years back gaited horses were very common in Europe. They called them ambulators, and the smooth gaits were considered espially suited for women - and men of the church Laughing

Robert shows you fine tölt in his links, - but here you can see the world champion

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Have patience see it all cheers

Look how completely still the rider sits in the saddle in spite of the horse moving as fast as fast galop !

The best iceys can go five gaits : walk, trot, tölt, galop and flying pace.
The so called canter is considered ugly in Iceland, and for hundreds of years it has not been bred for.
Why have canter if you can tölt ? Wink

No thanks BTW, there are loads of copies on the market indeed, mostly made by Hong Kong and Singapore companies in the 1970's, often in a smaller scale, so there are many sizes possible.
I think those Britains hunter horses are just walking slowly Susanne, and were not ment to make any special way of moving like tólt... Laughing
The bearcub was made in brown by Britains to, it is quit rare.
Here it is:

You are probably right, Willy, as Tölt, - or amble as similar gaits are called outside Iceland - was not recognised in England in the last century, where this model was made.
It could be a horse just starting off at a slow canter scratch

Funny thing is that often the Irish cub (tinker, the gypy-horse) can actually go amble.
Some pure-bred Arab horses can also go amble.
It is typically a gait that was bred out of the horses used by the gentry and other wealthy persons in Europe.
It did not look "dignified" enough, especially in front of a carriage - and it is a fact that in lines where amble is strong, there will be the odd "piggy-pacer", a slow, stiff gait that totally lacks elegance, and which is extremely unpleasant to ride Wink

So the last centuries amble has typically only been present in breeds owned by people who were more dependant on other properties than high speed and nice looking gaits like trot and canter ( Slow gallop). drunken

Born This Way, I remember having a sow nursing piglets figure a long time ago. Not sure if it was from that line or if another line made a similar figure?

I really don't know, they are probably China copies so they came in many variatons, color and material,I have also this two,and I had one in light pink color but when I was younger I had a thing for wild animals and I foolishly gave away lot of farm animals No So here is what is left of my pigs, this white tiny one is my favorite

The original bearcubs are marked with Britains, made in England, otherwise they will be marked with made in Hong Kong or so...

The sow nursing is a pig often to be found in the 1970's farmsets.
But Hausser Elastolin made a figurine like this to.

Some nice figurines there Nina.
The attacking lions(both) are copies of the Hausser Elastolin model, which was already their in the 1970's.
Your new little lioness is a new model for me, the other 2 are very bad copies of the Britains model, which was made in lead in the 1950's already.
The Bactrain camels are smaller copies of the vintage(so older) Britains model.
The austrich and the standing tiger to.(although the last is a little bit changed in mould).
Giraffes are Hong Kong models from the 1970's.
I don't recognize the gorilla's... Rolling Eyes
Your new rhino looks like a Javan or Sumatran rhino, which is nice, probably made in China, same for your new hippo, which is nice indeed to.
The green Indian rhino and other smaller hippo are Hong Kong figurines.

Most of these figurines are quit easy to find, and very cheap normally...
You can buy them in kilo's, instead of numbers... Laughing
This way, you can change your wasted or damaged models for better ones in time. Wink
I collect animal figurines since i was 6 years old, so that is almost 43 years now, and i am still able to find variations on these models... study scratch

Congats!
Pic 1:All China from the 2000's, only the very pink pig in the back and light pink next to him, and the piglets on the first row are Hong kong.
But not the second one from the left, it is a Schleich mini.

Pic 2:
All Hong Kong, never saw the one on the left front, right front is a small Britains copy.

Pic 3:
Wolf without paint is a Hong Kong copy from Britains wolf.
Hyena is made in China, nver saw this almost black version.

Pic 4:
All dogs made in China, probably 2000's.

Pic 5:
Looks like the AAA China elephant calf, look under it, if you see a small circle with 3 A's in it.

Pic 6:
Copy of Britains vintage bison model, made in Hong Kong, mediumsize is Riesen Zoo, often marked with a double Z, smaller model otherwise another unknow Hong Kong copy.

Pic 7:
Giraffe totally unknown to me, it looks like wood...

Ok then, but it is based on the AAA model anyway.
The sitting tiger is based on the Britains vintage tiger, made in Hong Kong, but i am pretty sure you can see under the models where they come from.
The horse and the other damaged elephant are probably Domplast Germany or another USA brand from the 1950's.
The ape is very special, as it is based on the vintage Britains chimp, so without the tail.
I never saw this model with a tail before!
