Custom diorama for Ana

I am currently making a custom diorama for Ana and her soon to be sculpted clouded leopard. The idea we had was to have a fallen log over a small stream or some slow moving pools of water in a ditch. The model will be 12 x12 inches (30 x 30 cm) and will be a thick forested area with the log in a clearing so the leopard is fully visible.

Here are the first pieces of the ground cover, there are 3 in this group, the yellow flowered bush on the left, the center piece which has 3 different bushes and a stand of dead and dying bamboo, and the taller bush on the right.

I have also started the base, the ditch where the water will be and some of the rockwork that is lining the scene. I am not making any of the bigger type plants or the log until I get a sketch of the leopard so I can give it a perfect perch for it to stand on, and until I know the exact scale I can't make any of the specific plants because I don't know how big to make the foliage, but as I get it together I'll post more photos.

Thanks everyone for your comments, this is a project I am working on for several reasons, mainly as a thanks to Ana for all of her work on my big dioramas but also because I have so much free time for a while that I am doing everything I can to keep busy. If anyone is interested in their own mini diorama PM me and we can talk about your idea and thoughts on what you want to display and what it could look like.

Amy, you are getting quite a collection of plants and figures and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Remember when you are ready I have made so many mistakes and changes I can help you aviod a lot of experimental costs with things that don't work. There are some mistakes you will have to make yourself, but others I can help you avoid so you don't waste money, I wish I knew then what I know now type of things.

I wish, she hasn't sculpted the leopard yet so as of now I am not really working on it much. When she starts the figure I will finish the dio, I have the base and many of the plants, but I still need to make the fallen log where the leopard will stand and I can't do that until she tells me the pose she is going to make.
