Novelties!

arrow click for bigger photo!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Collecta 88439 Friesian gelding
Collecta 88476 Arabian mare
Schleich 13464 feeding girl

I'm going to post here people models too as I'm going to buy them for horse-themed dioramas Wink
But I don't know if I use this girl, she's very detailed and well made, but she's so tiny!

Congratulations Magda! cheers
I read on your blog that it has some inaccuracies - that puts me off buying it. No I do love his head as with all her horses, they have such beautiful faces, I don't know why she makes their girth area so thin making the body pear shaped scratch

I don't know either. But I don't think it's a big problem, when a model stands on a shelf (or wherever it is exposed).
I think the biggest problem with those horses are their too short bodies. It makes them look a bit like yearlings proportion-wise.
But I love them anyway I love you

Horses' barrels are actually quite pear shaped, though the Collectas are a bit too extreme to be right.
I love all these, however I'm less than happy with the Lippi's pose. The knee joint (ie the stifle) isn't flexed enough, so essentially the tail's holding him up instead of the hind legs. That doesn't mean I won't get him though! Very Happy

I will say again that I find these Bully figures much more interesting than Schleich Satchmo. As you are saying, it is only a repainting and something more while here we see 2 completly new figures in the market. Probably in a short time the Schleich will obtain a higher value but most of us collect to enjoy the beautiful figures that are made and not only thinking in how much it will worth in future. It makes some suspense for next year, to know which figure will be released and how exciting may be to collect that series. I hope Bullyland continues with these beautiful horses even I dont collect them. Very Happy Congratulations for them and also for the funny tinker? Laughing flower

Congratulations for these great horses! Your picture got really what makes me like CollectA horses although I don't collect them. They are truly scenic and formidable, we almost forget some inaccuracies or the plastic they are made. I like them. bounce Very Happy

I like very much the Haflinger Mare.

Congrats, nice additions.

Wow, such comment from you - your photos are among the best on this forum Wink - is very flattering! I still have a lot to improve, I'm thinking about making a simple home-made light tent, I also need a better backdrop.

These two are special run models, commissioned by MPV, sculpted by Brigitte Eberl (famous equine sculptor, at least among model horse collectors), and produced by Bullyland. Since Eberl didn't sculpt more models for Bullyland, that's why they stand out among Bully's regular models :)
Safari models are great too, but they don't have that "something" that I like in model horses, so I'm considering selling the small ones. The big Friesian will be customized one day - I want to fix his anatomical flaws and change his position to more interesting one Very Happy
