| (This came out of Willy's response to our "A Tipple-Topple peculiarity" post!) When you need to tell them apart, a Tipple-Topple animal is usually smaller than the Hausser version. Sometimes, much smaller! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]On the left, the two-horned Hausser adult Indian Rhino; on the right, the one-horned Tipple-Topple version. You can see the difference in sculpting styles as well as size. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The 1930's Lineol Indian Rhino (left) is between Hausser and Tipple-Topple for size ... close to the size of the modern Papo African Rhino on the right. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Tipple-Topple replaced their old Rhino mould with a new model ... he is the fat, unhappy-looking creature on the right. (Papo Rhino on the left.) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Two composition African Rhinos; a magnificent Lineol version on the left, and Apel's "fat pig" Rhino on the right. (You will have noticed that some of the sculptors could not tell the difference between the Indian and African Rhinoceros!) Sue & Lesley castlerigg |

| Thank you for this extra addition to the theme Lesley and Sue! The difference between the Hausser and Tipple Topple(Pfeiffer) model is obvious! But i couldn't know, as i only have the Tipple Topple model, which seems to be hollow to, it is very light. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Pfeiffer Tipple Topple Thankfully i own the Lineol black rhino to, which is a masterpiece indeed! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And i do have a mini composition model to... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Actually i didn't see into it, from which maker this small model is... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| I really like the arch of neck of the Lineol African rhino! I also like the 1930's Indian rhino. |

| I am awed by these old models, WOW Durso, - a Belgian brand , quite new to me, a good day where you learn something new So I looked at Ebay.be, and found *these* Isn`t that male lion just fantastic, too ? And so are the prices Perhaps Ebay.be is like Danish Ebay, where the prices are just md, no Danes use it. We prefer local net-auktions |
