Today I found a Bullyland figure in a box and I don't know what it is.I'm not very interested in Bullyland,so I hope you can
identify the figure. And another question:When did Bullyland made the Beagle Henry for the first time??It's my only figure from Bullyland besides the bird in the photo and I'm just curious!! :)

I like that vulture, but the realism and quality of Bullyland varies a lot !
Have you seen the new Bearded Vulture ? It is fabulous, - and the Inuits and the falconeer Very Happy

The later years Bullyland has made a wonderful series of birds of prey.
The vulture you have was first sold in 1995 together with the seagul, eagle-owl, the Bald eagle in a much too light colour, the fabulous raven and the beautyful Peregrine falcon Very Happy

Vivien, I love this vulture! I also donnot appreciate many of Bullyland figures but this kind of generalisations are always dangerous! Wink Sometimes it makes us loose some nice things in our lifes in this special case, some very nice figures! For example, my favourite birds of prey figures are these from Bullyland and dogs experts also say that their dogs are nice, etc., etc.! :)

Thank you very much,my friends!!! flower

@Mastiffcat I know, they are all on my wishlist!! Rolling Eyes Laughing
@Roger Thanks Roger, yes some dogs are nice like the St.Bernard or the Beagle but some figures are so unrealistic and
undetailed!! Evil or Very Mad I buy only figures from Bullyland when they make new species or breeds that no other brand has made, but that's all matter of taste which figures someone like and which figures not. Wink :)
@SUSANNE Thanks Susanne, that's what I like to know. :) No Problem every person makes mistakes!! Wink

I dont know a serie of birds of prey by bullyland. Embarassed

Laughing geek I'm also not understanding nothing! Andreas, as you know and you already posted in this forum, Bullyland has a series called birds composed mostly of birds of prey. We call it here coloquially as birds of prey series even some of them are not birds of prey. We make the same with many prehistoric lines. There's nothing called dinos series but we know what it mean even not all the figures in these series are dinosaurs! :)
But, let's go: griffon vulture, common buzzard, black vulture, Andean condor, peregrine falcon, bald eagle, red kite, Northern goshawk, bearded vulture, if I'm not forgeting anything! Also some owls often referred as birds of prey: laponic owl, snowy owl, etc. Isn't it a series? scratch Wink

Now there is only one word left in " The mystery of the thing Andreas did not know" Laughing Laughing

"Series" ! Is that what you oppose to, Anderas ? scratch

Well, Bullyland does not explicitly call them " The series of birds of prey", but they are made in an un-broken line, in the same style ( same designer?) and shown together in the catalogues. Rolling Eyes

I always thought of them as a series, and it makes sence in Danish Very Happy Wink
What would you call them in German ?

You are so right, Fernando.
I have had some Bully-figures for many years, and at the beginning I thought of them as inferior to Schleich.
But getting to know the brand, I began to discover that they really have a lot of exceptionally good models, like the birds, prehistoric models, - and a lot of really wonderful human models that show both humor and wisdom. For instance the old series of "the railroad station" which is now becomming expensive collector`s items.

Their horses are surely not the best in the market, but they have some very unusual breeds.

I also love their dogs and cats, espcecially the older models.
And among the cattle and sheep and goats are som really fine ones.
Around the beginning of this century they had a spell of really nice species of wild animals, too.

All that said, thay also have made some extremely weird models, and they have had a period with serious problems of peeling paint.

Laughing Laughing Sorry, I could go on Embarassed , - I really find Bully(land)-figures enormously interesting geek drunken
