Well, of all the major manufacturers, CollectA was the only one who made an individual insect for 2010. It is the small tortoiseshell butterfly, Aglais urticae, a European species that feeds on nettles (Urtica spp.). Great butterfly and model Blaine!
This was one of the most common butterflies around here, but they get really seldom the last 10 years.
But i saw some in the last weeks, the were on a butterfly-bush in the garden, but i was not able to take pics of them.
By the way, did you go see in the treads about "Animals around your house" , where some of us did some pics from butterflies and insects?
