| i hope the new animals don't become that toyish as most of the CollectA are,..especially the red river hog shouldn't get that incredibly bad as the wild boar. and nobody needs a damn cute red panda when one already can get his giant relative,.... white lions are also a pest. |

Red pandas and giant pandas are not relatives! I hope the red panda will be cute since real red pandas are cute! But you are right, almost white lions, with almost white manes and cute are a pest! |

| I can't wait to see the striped hyena. It's a dream animal for me. If it's anywhere near as good as the 2012 models I've seen posted here, it will be outstanding. Between the red river hog, hyena, and antelope, this is the most exciting 2012 lineup I've seen so far. |

It most certainly is! No model will suit everyones tasts but in terms of innovation you have got to hand it to CollectA for thinking more 'outside the box' thats for sure! I hope that others follow suit and we have more different animals. A couple of years ago we had a Schleich, Papo and Safari Malayan Tapir all around the same time - why doesnt one company just say " I know what, everyone is doing a Malayan Tapir, why dont we create a Brazillian or Mountain Tapir?". I wish the brains in these companies would think a little more...... |

| After reading this all again in another pace, i can only say that CollectA, followed closely by Möjo Fun are on their way to be the best in business when they continue like this, and will leave companies like Schleich, Safari Ltd, Papo and Bullyland far behind them in the coming future! This is thanks to us, collectors, who were willing to write thousands of e-mails, and finally found ears which would listen to us, and even people among us, who have close relations with the companies now, so that we can be sure our long time wanted models will come out, and be on the market one day! Specially Schleich can eat its heart out!

I completely agree, these two new compagnies are going to be really, really great. But I am not completely sure the old mastodonts care that much, - they still have the distribution, the children and the "names". At least for a couple of years, - they still have time to react, if they care to see the writing on the wall. However we saw how Schleich slaughtered Naoah`s pals. It scares me very much to think about how cruel big business can be |

You're right! Extensive distribution and large marketing budgets in any business mean more than an imressive line-up of products... _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

Last night in Danish TV1 ( The absolute leader) was a spot about some "expert" comparing car drivers with the behaviour of different animals. The compaison was compeletly ridiculous, - but the animals models they used to illustrate were - of course - Schleich |

| Well, i cross my fingers to in the first place! Of course companies like Schleich are far ahead in their distribution and so on, but i know the newest companies are not specially trying to put out Schleich or so, and even compliment the old school companies at their custumors... Any company its tactics, and when all can make money, there is no problem at all. One reason i said that, because the new line for 2012 from Schleich is very very disappointing in my eyes, and i love all brands normally... And CollectA make very interesting and good models, and DO listen to the collectors, and are still cheaper to! |
