Roger, i updated my list, what an impossible task! There are just too darn many cool ungulates in Asia and Africa! It's not fair to limit to three! I'd also vote for the Takin, any of the Asian wild cattle. But frankly, i think any big ungulate by Mojo will make me happy.

He limited me to three of each so I made some changes to get them on the list, Marco Polo sheep don't come from Europe either, but that would have been 5 from Asia, oops!

Why don't we build up a consensus list and present it to Mojo? We did it before with the sable antelope.

Indeed it was, Robert. But unlike other companies (such as Schleich) Mojo has clearly shown that is interested on our opinions. As far as I can see, it would be very impressive if our forum presented a unified list with the animals we wish to purchase. We're selecting such an array of amazing animals, let's build up on our own ideas.

Well, we can try. If out taste matches with Mojo's thoughts about what should be on the market, there's a big chance we'll see it produced ... Very Happy

I totally agree with you! I think we can do the following: many of us already placed some lists... that's our raw material. Let's build up a unified version of all these lists (at least that's how Mojo is acting on FB).

Hello guys,
As you can see, me and Robert were discussing about building up a consensus list of our forum. That's my contribution and I hope we can do it with all categoris.

Birds:
9 votes: Cassowary
6 votes: Shoebill
5 votes: Saddle-billed Stork
4 votes: Kiwi, Secretary bird
3 votes: Emu, Great Hornbill, Japanese Crane, Knobbed Hornbill, Palm cockatoo
2 votes: African Crowned Crane, king vulture, Marabou Stork, Spix's Macaw, Wandering albatross
1 votes: Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, adjutant, African Grey Parrot, Anhinga, California Quail, California Condor, Capercaillie, Congo peafowl, Cormorant, Elephant bird, Frigatebird, Golden Eagle, goliath heron, Golden pheasant, Great Grey Owl, Guineafowl (preferably Vulturine Guineafowl), Harpy eagle, Lyre bird, Moa, Nubian Vulture, Philippine Eagle, red cardinals (pair), rhinoceros hornbill, Scarlet Ibis, Scarlet Macaw, Stellar Sea Eagle, White-Headed Vulture, Wood duck, Whooping Crane

As you can see, the cassouary won by a landslide.
Here is the list presented on Mojo Facebook page:
Birds:
1st Nubian Vulture and Cassowary 4 votes
2nd Guinea Fowl (Vulturine) and Secretary Bird 3 votes
3rd Harpy Eagle and Kiwi 2 votes

Let's think about something. Many of us casted the votes on animals of similar species: Hornbills (Great, Abyssinian Ground, Knobbed, rhinoceros); Eagles (Golden, Harpy, Philippine, Stellar Sea), Cranes (African Crowned, Japanese Crane, Whooping), Vultures (king, Nubian, White-Headed). Perhaps we could choose just one of each kind in our unified list, what do you thinK

You already did a great job with the birds, thankyou flower

We have :
9 votes: Cassowary
6 votes: Shoebill
5 votes: Saddle-billed Stork
4 votes: Kiwi, Secretary bird
3 votes: Emu, Great Hornbill, Japanese Crane, Knobbed Hornbill, Palm cockatoo

If we took the first 5 :
Cassowary, Shoebill,Saddle-billed Stork, Kiwi, and Secretary bird and vote about them.
They are already ranked, but the people who did not mention them should also have a say, I think.

And perhaps "hornbill" too, as there are many of those. And if you vite on "hornbill" mention which one ?

And repeat this for the other "headings" like Africa, Europe etc..
Just an idea.

In case we can aggree on this, I voluntere for one "heading", only not the prehistoric as I know so little about them, and many are similar Embarassed

Hi Susanne! Thanks for your words!
The idea is precisely that: we can do this work with each of profiles and vote en bloc! It would be awesome if you do it with another one!
I also agree with your line: Cassowary, Shoebill,Saddle-billed Stork, Kiwi, Secretary bird and a Hornbill.

Ok, I pick the European animals, - I (ought to ) know those Wink

Of course we must allow time for people to object.
But I will start counting Very Happy
If somebody think this is an awful idea, - no harm done Laughing

Who has time to count the other ones ?

I have time to count all, I'm not making it at the moment because it is almost useless, people always edit their choices. I agree with you, more than count it is important to study the choices. When people talk about Cassowary which one of 3 species are people talking about? Easy, we can accept here that it is the Southern one that is the most known. But I see many people wanting wild sheep, very similar but of different species and ranked under different faunas. Which one to choose, here? So, this strategy only solve some problems! But, if you want to pick a category, count the most voted and try to persuade people to vote in one of the more voted., that's good. But please pm me telling me which categories you will pick. Susanne goes to Europe, Zé Neto to the birds, Martien to prehistoric mammals, I don't mind to go to South America, but I need to study it very close to who will pick North America because there are people voting in species present widely in the two regions! :)
