Fantastic red river hog!
I am happy for my French friend who really adores this creature, and finally gets one!
I can only repeat that 2012 is definiatly the year of CollectA with all those great models to come!

I agree with you 100%. CollectA have done a really good job at pleasing most people with their figures this year.

Does anyone know the scale/size of the new RedRiver Hog? I am hoping it wil be out soon as it is a January release but want to make sure it is not too big in scale for my other animals.

I don`t know the size, - I can`t wait to get it no matter the size.

Experience shows that small animals are usually larger scale than big ones, - what scale to you have in your collection ?

PS I am sure that LOTS of people will get this beauty and show pictures, so if you can wait a week or so after it is available, you will know more

thanks guys. I am looking for a size that fits into my Schleich scale--if the Hog is around the same size of the schleich warthogs, that would be great. Is the K&M red river hog hard to get/find?

Than i think the CollectA red river hog have the right size. I think the K&M red river hog is hard to find. I have luck, i found one of a second-hand-market in my hometown and one in a lot of K&M animals on ebay.

CollectA red river hog fit perfectly in what you call Schleich scale!

Hopefully with the same size to wild boar!

I think it is going to be way too big, the scale CollectA uses is 1:20, that makes it about 1/3 larger then the Schleich warthog even though the river hog is a little smaller in life than a warthog. A typical male red river hog is just under 4 ft long from head to base of tail while a male warthog is about 5 ft long.

It's almost the the same size as papo and schleich wild boar

Red river hog and striped hyena are my two favorite for this years' CollectA assortment! Does, anyone else think the capy looks a bit long? At least they got the color right....

Thank you again! You photographed just the ones that I was most curious about.
I still don't like the White Lion Female and the Brown Bear but the rest is great.
Good that I haven't bought any Giraffes yet,I'll get the CollectA ones.And the four antelopes are fabulous!
I have to break many rules in 2012,collecting sea life mainly because of this wonderful Beluga Whale,collecting Dinosaurs and collecting prehistoric mammals.
