| It never happened to me... but must be very dissapointing!
I don´t know what to reccomend you to remove those pen markings. Maybe you could contact the seller to return them... _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

| I have tried it also, - I think Peter`s tip may be the only one that really helps, if it is made with a permanent marker. We can`t get nail polish remover with acetone here in Denmark, but ordinary stuff helps a little, - but I have never succeeded to get it all away. And be very carefull, because it removes all paint before it removes the marker. Quite another matter is, that unless it is a rare item and I bought it for being "like new" and price accordingly, I don`t mind so much . When I was a child I always put a little dot of my Mom`s red nail polish under a foot of each of my model animals. My best friend and playmate also collected them (Reisler), and with mine having a red dot, we would never get into a fight about which model belonged to who. It was VERY important, because they had names and personalities, so imagine the horror if they ended up with the wrong owner So if I get a model that is marked, I enjoy the thought that this special little model has been so important to some child, that he/she marked it |

That's a good thought Susanne, I like it very much and it makes me feel better now but nonethenless I will try all the suggestion with toothpaste and nail polish remover with aceton (I only have the one without aceton at home but I will look if I can find one with aceton). I never heard of a brush cleaner xylol, Peter. Can you explain to me what this is or where I can get it? Thanks a lot for all your help!! |

Thanks a lot! I will try the brush cleaner on the figures with white bottom. |

| I had the same problems to in the past, and it was not shown on the pics! It was a lot of brushing with detergent for washing the dishes, soap and a little spunch you could use for the same purposes to... Specially ink comes off very hard indeed. I even used chlorine, and did put the models in it for 24 hours, and afterwards it was easier to remove the paint or ink, but be care full with it. I tried it on Schleich mini's, which had no effect on the good painting... I think patience is needed to clean up a model really well, and not the agressivness of the cleaner... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman
