How many schleich you have?

 Non so many, but... let me count... 14

I love the WWF orangutan although he was a little bit expensive....

My boyfriend built the showcases for my collection, but i think i need now some new showcases, because my collection is growing every week ;-)

I have around 80 horses, 5 Prehistoric animals and 81 other animals. So that would be around 166 Schleich-S in total!

i have 128 horses, 22 cows and 74 other animals plus LOTS of people and fences and accessories!!  

I have 242 Schleich animals.

Angie59, I enjoy very much the great collection you have   So many special ones too  

I have 59 Schleich currently   
36 are horses.
5 are country variant doubles of horses.
3 are special edition colour variants of horses.
15 are other animals.

I now have 247 Schleich animals. The first one I got was in 2007, but I have only been collecting since 2011. Do you think my collection is small, average or big for someone my age? I'm not really sure.

I have 88 and I thought that that was heaps! My parents think that I have enough schleich and don't need more! I should bring them on here are show them how many you guys have. Where can you get the trees?

88 models is a fine collection, especially as they are mainly from Africa   

About the trees, I just ran through the 2014 catalogue, and it seems that they don't make any plants these days, - not even the hedge   

This means that you will have to look for them in places where you find retired items, like net-auctions, or perhaps you can be lucky to find them in little toy-shops, perhaps ?

Or you may look at a brand like CollectA. They made some very nice palm-trees this year.
Looking at collecta may be "dangerous", though, because they have SO many wonderful African animal models, too   
That would change the focus of your collection, and ( as many of us have realized), can be quite hard on your bank account

I hadn't even considered other brands. You are right I am always tempted to start new collections, but fortunately I am a very determined person, I was tempted to branch out towards the beautiful other wildlife such as asia/australia/europe/america and then there is the dogs/pets and the wonderful horses. Theres heaps! Fortunately I was determined to stick to my African collection and am now very excited as I only have a few more to go till I have all the 2010-2014 African ones. Sooo excited to be moving on, which type do you think I should collect next!!!

-Gorillas
-Dromedaries
-animal keeper
-fruit bat
-mandrills
most of these retired ones are really hard to find at the moment
then of course I will continue to collect the new releases and the assesories.

I have over 500 Schleich   

I have over 870 schleich animals plus many people, accessories, plants, buildings, and vehicles.

I like to think that I do.   I am lucky because as a child my cousin and I were given many Schleich. He has since given me the majority of his figures, which even from a young age we tried to keep scratch-less. I didn't start seriously collecting Schleich until the early summer of 2012 when I was feeling crafty and started making halters just for fun for my horses and stumbled upon people's collection videos on YouTube while trying to learn how to make them. I was shocked to see so many horses that I didn't have. So I did some research and realized how collectable Schleich was. I was hooked!   I started out only collecting horses. But that quickly changed later in the summer when went on vacation to the West Coast (Oregon and California) and found my first variant; the lighter version of 14027, the African elephant female. I had the darker one from my childhood so I was surprised to see it in another color. Upon doing some resarch I found this forum!   
The rest is history , including my bank account.
