| Subject: A Great Batch of Albert Heijn WWF Supermarket Models came in... Wed Jan 11, 2012 3:03 am | |
| At the end of 2011, i found another batch of animals, that were made for the Dutch Supermarket Albert Heijn(AH) in their WWF series in the 1990's. These models were given away by a certain amount of money when you paid your stuff. I really don't know how many there actually were, but i find new ones everytime. This time i found a batch of 34 different models, from which i already had a lot, but i wanted to be sure to don't miss any model... But for that, i am pretty sure that my doublettes are going to make some of the other members very happy! Some are very playfull, against others that look very good, specially the birds are nice. Here are the pics: The whole lot Thorny Devil, missing a foot(not visable here), but i had a complete one already, and i think this one would great in a certain collection in France. Beaver, new model for me American Bison, another double, available for who wants it Brachiosaurus, i don't collect dino's, so available to Dingo, a double one, which goes to France to Double Hornbill, which is double indeed, and goes to France to Dugong, a new model for me Emu, a double one for France to Common Dolphin, new for me Giraffes, both new for me Gorilla, another doublette, which is available for everybody Green Frog, double which can go to France if Christophe wants him, he is missing a leg on the other frontside... Bowhead Whale, new for me Cape Buffalo, new for me Emperor Penguin, a double bird for France to Kookkaburra, another bird for France Lion, which had some differences with the model i already had, so new for me Mandrill, new for me Marmot/Groundhog, from which i thought before that it was a beaver, a double one for France to Muskdeer, goes to France to Octopus, new for me Quagga(i think), new for me Roedeer, new for me Giant Albatros, new for me Giant Red Kangaroo, a double for anyone who likes it Red Fox, a double one that goes to Portugal for sure! Pink Flamingo, new for me, sorry... Scorpion, Blaine...if you like it... Stegosaurus, i have 2, so both are available, the last one has its tip of the tail glued back on... Austrich, new for me Tyrannosaurus, available... Wild Boar, new for me Common Seal, new for me _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Going to the Supermarket it's always a nice sport! :) Those animals remembers me some from detergents that were sold in Portugal a long time ago! But those were uncoloured! :) I almost was tempted in seeing a fox but it is a dingo, not a fox indeed! The marmot really looks like a stretched beaver but I'm sure the quaga is a quaga. When the animal don't shows it clearly we must think in what they tried to do. Birds are in fact the most interesting! When you find a triple fox or anteater please think in me! |

| Thanks everybody! They are not always accurate, or natural, the birds are some of the best in these series. Some are off, some just funny or cute, but overall nice series. I didn't know of this series since a year or 2 ago, otherwise i would be in this supermarket a lot of times in the time they released these series... I have 54 different models from these series now Susanne. Mihnea, i don't have the hornbill available for you right now, but i will look out for more in the future, but for now i have the little dino's if you want them. I guess all of these doubles will spread around under our members. _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Willy, thank You so much for that photo! I like to see them all together I think 8 is quite a lot in case of this animal, mandrills are not often made. I think there is also nice mandrill from Papo and maybe from Noah Pal but I'm not sure. Thanks again for photo, it's very interesting to see them all together! |

| Buying a group of older Britains from a seller, she said to me, that she a big group of other stuff to which i could buy. To my surprise, they were mostly these little critters from the Albert Heijn supermarket series, which i like so much, and everytime, there are more and more models that i don't have. Besides that, a group, that gets bigger everytime, of our others members like them to, so a good chance to make some other people happy to. There will be a picture with white spots, from which already 2 members could pick out, the rst of you can PM me about them, they are free for everyone of you! The last part of this lot was a group of Hong Kong and China made models, from which i picked out some for my collection to. All of the horses i will put to a group of already 61 horsemodels from the Asian parts, which i use for the trade with you guys. This was the whole lot, quit a few, with loads of doubles for me, but i bought this group mainly for you guys, as i had just a few in this group which i didn't have... This and on the next 3 pics you can see what is left after my own pickings... And this is left after the 2 first people picked out, so hurry if you want to get something! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman
