My new (retired) additions

Hello there,
I'm here again to share new members of my collection.
I don't like most of 2014 and 2015 horses, so I'm focused mostly on retired models (but there will be some expections )
My latest addition is Knabstrupper mare retired since this year. I remember when she was introduced in 2007 with sucking foal - I was excited about this idea. I wasn't so excited when saw them personally, both have some flaws. The Mare has strange paintwork of eyes and too slim pasterns. However she is quite nice. I like her leopard pattern. I bought her mainly for being dam of 2014 foal, but now I'm seriously thinking about the sucking one (or about both ).

I remember my delight about her and her suckling foal, too !
But it was always the foal that got my attention, - now I must take a better look at MOM
Leopard spotted horses do have strange colours around the eyes.

They are beautiful Since the recent models arrived, they make the older ones look very good and desireable for collectors. Although I like some of the newer ones, the older molds were way more 'realistic'.

I understand, that the leopard horses have strange colours around eyes, like pink or spotted eyelids, but those mares in Czech stores look like they're wearing maskaras. 

Yes, Carola, exactly! For example the new donkey makes me wanna have the older one...I must get it before it will be out of stock ;-)

I'm happy I can introduce you new member of my equine family - grazing Arabian foal. I really like it - the beautiful head with nice details and real arabian profile, harmonic proportions and stretched legs. It is very well-sculpted, maybe one of the best Schleich foals? 
It has no gender, so I take it as a filly. That mine has a small white marking next to the left nostril. It isn't a rub, just a stain of white paint.

Yes, it is wonderful and it fits perfectly together with this mare, they're made in the same style.
And they look great in pastures (although these photos aren't ideal). Now the expression of the mare have new dimension - caring and protective

My first donkey!
I'm not expert on donkeys, but I think she is a good model. Maybe the head is a bit larger, but that's problem of most Schleichs. Her face is cute, mostly from the front view.

Ideal companion for my old Przewalski mare:

That's a very decent donkey and most have huge heads so that's not a problem. I like to see it with the Przerwalski's horse.

My favorite model donkey of this scale just behind the Schleich Poitou Congratulations!

It's nice to hear that the big head is not problem.
The Poitou donkey is also very nice, it's on my wishlist too. (Surprisly the Poitou one is more available in stores although it had been retired the year before this was)

I think it has a lot to do with the Poitou is a more unusual type of donkey, and many people don't know it. So the poor thing sits on the shelves.

Hello,
my new addition of this week is a "bridegroom" for the Knabstrupper mare. At first it was like "I don't need the stallion" but I now I'm getting more and more in love with this breed. And I did some photo research and realized that he is a good model.

He has nice pose, harmonic proportions, also his testicles are of stallion size, not as small as on many horses. I'm sure he will sire some offsprings He is much lighter than the promo one, but the paintwork is well done.

Another fantastic sculpt I was fortunate enough to find a few of these on sale at the local farm store for $1 each! They'll all get new coats eventually
