I don't have any other Schleich big cats, maybe they all have eyes like this? scratch study
Not that I don't like it, it reminds me of the old Schleich animals and I like that Very Happy
The Schleich black bear has the same eyes.

I guess they all must be like it then, I think they are better like this, means the pupil is central - with hand painting a pupil, without a guide, a lot are cross eyed, I think.

Roger and Arnaud, I mean the pupils have a hole or a pit in them sunny

Thanks for explaining, Harriet! :) Yes, my jaguar has indented pupils and there are some Safari figures with painting marks in the sculpting to guide the painting.I think this is a good idea, mainly in eyes, not exactly for zebra strips as we see in Safari. :)
Schleich jaguar is like Schleich zebras, a very simplified sculpting to help in a better work with paintjob. You can see that the texture is not rich to turn easier the painting of rosets. flower :)

Oh yes, the Safari Zebras and their Giraffes too - the old Schleich giraffes were like that I think? scratch I know the old Schleich zebra was.

Happy to help tip the balance! I always search for collector's pictures rather than decide by the catalogue pics...apart from new releases of course Wink

Thanks Mihnea!

I just remembered I have the Schleich cheetah! Really my mind is going, the things I forget Rolling Eyes her eyes don't have this indentation. Maybe it was older models that had it then? I can't remember when the lions were released, the newer ones.
