 | Subject: Breyer and Famemaster Models came in from Russia last month... Mon May 14, 2012 4:28 am | |
| I made a trade with Daria from Russia last month, and i already have her models here since a week or so. Sadly enough i wasn't able to send her lot yet, but this will happen very soon, sorry Dari... Anyway, this lot included a Breyer Black bear, a Breyer Reeves Llama, and 3 fantastic Famemaster 4-models, which were very hard to put together by the way, as they had many parts, and the description was very small, and not very clear. Sadly enough, the tucan was not very well made in the parts, the paiting does not fit the lines of the models as you will see. But for that, the scarlet macaw and American horned owl are fantastic! Here they are: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Breyer Black Bear/Baribal [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Breyer Reeves Llama, it is not the typical hollowcast hardplastic that Breyer normally uses, but a very hard and sturdy kind of plastic, almost like the Safari models. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Here to compare with the Schleich model, were you can see, that the Breyer is so much better... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The 3 Famemaster birds together, already build together, and with the original boxes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Famemaster Great Horned Owl, hunting a ground squirrel. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Here to compare with the Schleich European Eagle Owl. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Famemaster Scarlet- or Yellowwinged Macaw, the hardest one to build together, but a very nice model! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Here a pic to compare to, with the Schleich Blue and yellow Macaw, and the Nayab Scarlet Macaw. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Famemaster Toco Tucan, from the best side... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Because here you can see, that some parts do not fit well together, and that the painting of the parts does not match... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Here with the rest of my tucan family.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]TM or Tom Major Green Treefrog [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Made in China Beluga, a very nice model i think... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]A very toyish made Dalmation from China, but i knew that before, and i already have some of those toyish Dalmations, and in dogs i can stand that sometimes... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Made in China Golden Retriever [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Made in China Emperor Fish, but in the juvenile markings. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]A funny China made Macrauchenia, could been dropped out of Ice Age... | Thank you for the compliments Susanne, Yvette and Kristie! I must admitt, that i like the hardplastic beagle and collie very much to, they have a certain quality as i said before, it is almost if they were made out of porcelain... And i can't remember seeing them ever before in all of those years... |

| Lots of nice additions Willy! I think the donkey is MPC, they did versions with the base and without the base. There is a similar version without the base by Payton but it is not as finely crafted, so I think yours is the MPC. The Marx deer from that series would have been made in Hong Kong - all of the animals from that series were. Yours looks really nice so I think it is safe to say Marx. |

| Thanks Tim, and thanks for the good info to! I saw in your collections, that MPC used these bright colours to in that time. Nice to know that my deer is a Marx then! It could be logical, as i had it from Rusty. |

| Yes Daria, they arrived savely here! I know you can't help about the tucan, just bad luck for me i guess... Your package will leave very soon, i have some extra finacial room this month, and i will take quick advantage of that, to send off all of the packages that are still lying around here... Yes, i know know ana, but not then, sometimes the mails confuse me, not only yours. As i know that you couldn't take your collection completely to our country, i am save, but i am afraid i don't have the biggest collection anyway.... I think, i can hold mine on 6 M2 in vitrines...|(although several layers high... ) |

| Thank you Balti! Yes Philipp, it will be a hard task, as the desciption is not very clear, and with little pictures... And as often in puzzles, not every part does fit well as it should be... Well, you can always ask Kiki or me when you have any trouble putting them together... By the way, piano-fingers are capable to do very fine things... You need patience in the first place, and some time for yourself... For myself, i just love to get into tiny things like watches and so on, and that helps for sure... |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 1334 Britains Polarbearcubs standing, the left one is new for me, it has a lighter blue base.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 1368 Britains Springbucks, the one on the front right is new for me. It is made out of another kind of plastic, a kind of softer, the first ype Britains used.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 5354 Hausser elastolin Llama grazing, completely new for me, it was available with the llama calf, which was in the 5353 set to, with a standing adult.(i still miss that one).
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 5354 Hausser Elastolin Llama Calf, this one was better then the one i had, less paintloss.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 5438 Giant Red Kangaroo, adult, in a set with the joey. This one was better to then mine, although slightly. Now i almost forgot the next one...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Hausser Elastolin Dromedary Calf, in hollowcast hardplastic, made in the last years the company existed, the late 1980's.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Now happily reunited with his mom!
A beautiful collection of Willy, I really like the camel and the couple springbuck |
