| Hi Folks,
I need everybodys Help!
I've got recently a model of an old animal house from a german zoo, which some poeple have constructed for me, but unfortunately, they are only good in making buildings, but not animal or human figures.
But of course I want also the inhabitants of that building, but as you know, all the mayor brands do not make animals in such a small scale, whcih isn't easy, I guess, especially not the speices I need for that house.
So the only way to get them is to find somebody, who can make them for me, for payment, of course. So if anybody here has an idea, who can do these figures for me, please let me know !
So here are the list with the speices, which i need for my house model, all please in the same scale of 1.50 :
Red Kangaroo Tree Kangaroo(Matschies,Doria,-and Goodfellow ) Benett wallaby Brushtailed Rock Wallaby
Indian Crested porcupine
Mountain Tapir Red River Hog Warthog Babirusa
Yellow backed duiker Zebraduiker Blackduiker Bay Duiker
Klippspringer Kirk Dik-Dik
Aardvark Aardwolf Giant Anteater
Secretary bird
Of course I would see als o a few zoo vistors and a zookeeper.
So any Idea, where I could find somebody who can do that for me ?
Thank you in advance for any advice,
Bongo. |

| 1:50 is very very small, even elephant in this scale would be quite tiny... Human figure would have 3.4cm so just think how small would be secretary bird or any wallaby Or klipspringer? Only 1cm in shoulders? I would love to see pictures of the building too. _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| some of the Safari TOOB figures may be 1:50 scale. I know that there are several CollectA and Safari Dinosaurs that are 1:50. I haven't scaled most of the Safari TOOB figures, but perhaps their North American Wildlife TOOB, Wild Animals TOOB, etc. have some. As far as the species requested, Good Luck |

| Perhaps you can find something for model railways.
* Gauge 0 * is 1:45, which may be suitable ? |

| Hi Folks, thank you all for your suggestions. I need te same scale 1:50 of the house model, otherwise, because it would look very strange, if the the animals woulnd't be in the same scale, but no railway model sytem is using this scale. The only option I have is to find someone who has enough abilities, to make them, especially all these rare species. The tapirs are not too mal ein that scale, and I think, even the duikers can be made in that size, even when the ycan't be very detailed. I have the Kaiyoddo Tree Kangaroo, indeed, it could be the size I need.... But I have a much better idea now, its more a hope than an idea, there is now the phantastic d copy techinque, and some companies in germany offer statueue sof your own face via the internet, so after easter, I will give them a phonecall and ask, if it is possible to make also animal figures in the scale.1:50.Or bigger-so maybe eI have found a way to get hundreds, hundres of ANETELOPE Species ? Schleich,Collecta and Mojo-these was yesterday,Ha,Ha. I'm very curious and I hope, easter will move as soon as possible..... |

| PS:
I will upload pics of the House model as soon as I have the inhabitants of it-otherwise, you would see only pictures of an empty house with outdoor exhibts only with plants, sand, rocks and trees, with animals in it and visitors around it-the house would come to live ! |

| And the Playvisions antelopes and other animals are also in a small size. Here you also find a banded duiker [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I think that PlayVisions Zebra Duiker is 1:18 scale. I don't have my figure or database with me, but I think I have it listed as 1:18. Just for reference on just how small 1:50 would be: almost 3x's smaller than the PlayVisions figure. So roughly the same siz as your average ball of lint. :) |

| Just a suggestion, because I don't know anything about them, but can 3D printers be programmed to produced different scale copies of an original scanned object?
So if you can find any of the species (or near enough for a model) in the larger scale ranges, scan it and programme the 3D printer to make a small one.
Presumably you'd need to find a person/company with a 3D printer/printing service near where you live to ask if this is possible.
If this worked, then you'd just have to paint them yourself. |

| Preiser make small railway scale wild animals but more common ones. I think these may be useful and can be easily ordered online. Some examples can be seen below: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Hi Numaan In the first three links the scale of the animals is 1:87th almost half the size of 1:50th scale. The last link does show 1:48th scale animals as this is the scale for American ‘O’ Gauge railways and this are the right scale that Bongo require. |
