Hi everyone
Bad news, I'm having lots of problems with my new rex Sad It's looks like Mr Galileo didn't use very high quality resin when he cast this, because it's very brittle and breaks easily Sad
Upon closer inspection, some of the teeth are snapped off (I didn't notice this straight away) and tip of the tail somehow snapped off too (might have been because of my clumsiness, but I certainly did not handle it with any extreme force)

I am going to try and make replacement teeth for the broken ones, and I am waiting for a drill to arrive so that I can reinforce the joints with pinning instead of just glue by itself (I should have known glue would not be enough to hold on the weight bearing joints)

Embarassed Crying or Very sad

Mistakes in modelling can be very costly Sad I don't blame Galileo for this, it's probably my own fault for not recognising the problems.
*Is sad*

Thanks for the support everyone :)

Just remembered, I never posted this here. A customised Styracosaurus by Copper. I asked her to copy the CM Studios Styracosaurus.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

And a Carnegie Anniversary Rex, painted with CM Studio's Tyrannosaurus colouration. And no, it doesn't have a warped face Wink

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I have more pieces by Copper, maybe I'll post them if I can find the time.

Curious Rex with ventral part much lighter than dorsal like we see in many creatures. It gives a completely different looking from what we're used. Very Happy
The ceratopsian is very beautfully painted. Very Happy

Wow! I love both of those! The Styracosaurus is extraordinary. And the T-Rex paintwork is so much better than the original. It really makes me appreciate that sculpt much more than I have.

Congratulations for your new parasaurolophus! Very Happy
It looks I lost some posts here and your bad news about T-rex, so my comment is completely out. I hope you can find a way to fix it. It is really bad when we get something and it ends disappointing due to lesser quality. Good luck with your Rex work. Very Happy

Thanks :) The Rex has taken a turn for the better, I'm glad to say. I've figured out how to do pinning, and I sculpted some new teeth from Epoxy. It's all good cheers

I tried this for a while and recently lost that battle: I've been collecting dinosaurs for the last two months and pretty much nothing else.

The Krenz Rex is amazing TyrantQueen!! Wow! I'm really looking forward to seeing that painted.

I love the custom painting of the other models. I think my favorite might be the Iguanodon. I like the others a lot (the velociraptor stands out), but for some reason the Iguanodon just seem really improved by the custom work! Great collection!
